I have been teaching and tutoring this language over 5 years. I started my teaching after being a language and university student in Japan.

I can help students get grasp of Japanese as I had to learn it myself as a foreign language.

About Anna
Hello. I am a Chinese woman fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and English. I am looking for students to study Mandarin and/or Japanese and for ESL for Japanese and Chinese language speakers.

I grew up in China and lived and went to university in Japan. Coming from the north of China, I speak very fluent and standard Mandarin Chinese. I have great confidence in my standard (dialect free) Chinese and Japanese pronunciation. Having lived in Japan for more than five years, I am very fluent in Japanese.

I feel confident that with learning two foreign languages (That would be English and Japanese for me) I have acquired the language skills that have allowed me to understand how best to study and teach a foreign language. At present, besides teaching my 3 children Mandarin Chinese, I also have students whom I serve as their tutor for in
both Chinese and Japanese.

Today, I have full Japanese fluency, and have worked in both Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture--the deep countryside--and the hectric center of Tokyo. But, like so many of you, I started learning Japanese on my own, with only textbooks and cassette tapes. I am almost fully self-taught, and didn't take my first actual 'Japanese class' until my time at Florida State University. Starting out learning at age six, I understand what works and what doesn't when learning at home. My lessons consist of real-world examples and pop-culture related materials, that won't lose your attention.

I also cultivate lessons depending on what you struggle with. Having trouble with Kanji? I can help untangle all of that confusion. Need grammar help? We'll chat until the grammar just comes naturally. Just let me know your goals, and we'll work together!

About Carley
I'm a Japanese translator and teacher, who has lived everywhere from Tokyo, Japan to Salem, Oregon and everywhere in between. Currently based in Mississippi, I'd love to share the incredible gift of language with those who have a passion for Japan and Japanese culture!

I began learning Japanese at the age of six, when I fell into a world of anime and video games. Largely self-taught, I graduated from Florida State University in 2012 with a B. A. in Japanese Language and Culture, and moved to Japan three months later.

In Japan, I was an educator for a few years in the countryside, before moving to Tokyo to work at a financial company as a translator and editor. In 2015, I passed the JLPT N1, the highest level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, held in only six cities in the US.

I have worked as a translator for seven yea
rs, and In the past, I worked with emmy-award winning director Leo Eaton, as a translator and editor for the PBS documentary 'Sacred Journeys.'

As someone who loves popular culture, and sees anime, manga and video games as excellent outlets to help Japanese stick in the minds of students, my lessons are hand-crafted for every student, and not bland or regurgitated material. Japanese is difficult, but with some confidence and passion, it's a gift that young people can enjoy for a lifetime.

I am happy to teach from my home in Madison, but am also happy to teach at nearby establishments, such as Starbucks or the local library. Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions!

I do not just teach Japanese, I also teach you the culture if you are interested in learning about it. The Japanese culture has strong ties with the language. My philosophy of learning Japanese is through Immersion environment. I have my own technique that I show my student to improve their vocabulary, writing, speaking and listening. And mostly I make it fun! I received my AA from Japanese college from Hagoromo College in Osaka and MBA from university in the US. I had worked for various companies in the US. I tailor my lesson to each individual level and goal.

I look forward to hearing from you.

What I can offer with my Japanese lessons is time spent that is unlike the traditional Japanese learning classroom. With me, there will be less of a strict schedule to follow and more flexibility to fit your needs. You will have the chance to practice and learn with someone who has the experience of learning Japanese from scratch and who understands the needs of those beginning the Japanese journey, rather than someone who has spoke it their whole life. These lessons will help build the foundation for learning Japanese, which you can use to grow and expand your learning in the future.

My Japanese lessons are unique in that I can adapt to multiple learning styles. I can empathize with English learners that have been struggling with Japanese grammar and sentence-forming issues that plague so many by explaining it in innovative ways. I am also very up to date with Japanese pop culture, history, and other fun aspects, such as travel, food, and music, so I often enjoy incorporating those fun topics into my lessons wherever possible!

About Marco
Hello everyone! My name is Marco, and I teach Japanese and Vocals! (Each exclusively or at the same time; it's up to you!)

Vocals:
