About Michael
Hello. I'm Michael. I consider myself a jack of many trades when it comes to tutoring. I've worked with students in a variety of subjects -- English, writing, reading, math, history and more. If I have a specialty, it's the language. I have devoted my life to the written word, both as a writer and an editor in a variety of media outlets -- books, newspapers, magazines, websites and more. And I've worked with hundreds of developing writers to hone their skills. The writing process isn't as difficult as you might think. In fact, it can be fun! I look forward to working with you in English or any other subject.

About Mirchaye
My name is Mirchaye pronounced "Mer-Shy." I was born in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, where I was raised and completed my high school education. I attended a Lycee Francais, which is where I learned French. Fan Fact: It was the first language I learned how to read and write in even before my native language: Amharic.

At 17, I moved to the U.S., where I currently reside pursuing a career in Communications/Media.

For as long as I can remember, I loved to write and teach. My love for writing began when I got my first journal in the 8th grade. I loved it and wrote in it literally everyday. And, I first started teaching as an English Teaching Assistant volunteer at an orphanage in Ethiopia. I then also started teaching French.

Once I moved to the US and was attending college, I saw the need for language tutors so I applied
for a job as French Tutor. I worked there till I graduated college. Another fun fact: My first paid job was as a French Tutor. After college, I taught private French classes to high school and college students.

I now speak about 4 languages fluently. I will make learning fun & exciting. And, coming from a background of speaking different languages I know hoe best to teach someone a totally different language. I understand the learning curve in other words. I am currently teaching my husband, who's American, Amharic and it's been fun.

I look forward to working with you.
