Grammar and conversations skills for beginner and intermediate students.
I teach Spanish and English. I've been teaching English for more than 20 years and Spanish for 8 years. I like to focus my classes on students needs. The most important is to make them feel comfortable and motivated. I use a lot of vocabulary, shown with drawings or materials to show examples. My goal is to make students speak the language in a very natural and easy way.

About Vania
I've always been attracted to the rewarding profession of teaching. I've been teaching for the last 20 years and it's been such a privilege to be a positive part of all my students' stories. As a result, I have built life-long, lasting connections with my students. My professional bio and education qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

• Private and public Spanish Instructor
I teach beginning to advanced-level Spanish to persons of all ages. Books, media, dictionaries, age-appropriate games, and flash cards are the materials used for instruction. Students are assessed with oral and written quizzes.

• A variety of certificates of training and teaching, in the realm of Overseas Language Instruction in English and Spanish, Teaching Orientation
s, and Evaluating.

Vania is an excellent Spanish instructor

I've taken many Spanish lessons that have ranged from various software programs to personal tutors. Vania is great. She knows how to relate with each person in order to convey concepts. She's the best I have worked with.

She's also very accommodating, since I tend to change my schedule around a lot. She is always flexible to accommodate. Vania is simply great.

Initially I like to evaluate the student's current comprehension level (regardless of years studied) to better select the appropriate starting point. From there, if there is a specific subject matter or course work/syllabus for a class that needs to be followed, I can tailor lessons to fit those needs. Throughout lessons, I like to bring in elements such as cartoons, newspapers, movie clips, etc. to aid in understanding everyday usage & make learning practical and pertinent to the student.

**30 minute lessons are available for students interested in Conversational Spanish practice (for Intermediate/Advanced Only). Please send me a message if you are interested & we can discuss how to arrange through TakeLessons.

About Kenji Luis
I grew up speaking English, Portuguese & Japanese in a multilingual family and from a young age developed a strong affinity & penchant for languages. I attended an English-Portuguese Bilingual school through 6th grade and studied Japanese 4 years in high school, along with weekend Japanese school classes. In college I went on to major in International Relations & Diplomacy with a concentration in French studies, also honing my Spanish that I had picked up along the way (with Romance Languages, I have a very easy time of language absorption). I've gone on to work for international companies wherein my language skills have been highly sought after, translating & communicating often in all my language strengths.

When I teach piano or Spanish, I encourage students to challenge themselves. To play instruments in public or to speak a foreign language regularly with other people will definitely help them get over the fear of 'looking ridiculous'. You don't have to be at a very advanced level to communicate with an instrument or a language.

I've spoken Spanish natively my whole life and played the piano since age five. My first Spanish student was my Minnesotan husband!

About Mariana
Hi, I'm Mariana! I graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in Criminal Law and the Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires with a Bachelor's degree in Music, specialized in vocal performance and piano.

Learn Spanish with no-stress lessons. Within the first lessons you will know how to introduce yourself and ask for household objects and foods. In the following weeks you will quickly and easily learn more vocabulary.
Practicing another language has many benefits beyond just a bit of vocabulary. Discovering a new language will clarify your first language in ways you've probably never thought about. Studying Spanish can also increase your attention span, enhance critical thinking and improve your memory.
I can't wait to introduce you to the beautiful Spanish language.

About Tracy
"I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano!"

Well, now's the time! You can do it with no-stress lessons regardless of your age.

I am a mom with a passion for education and music. I am excited to see people, young or old, learn new things and stretch their boundaries. I want you to have fun.

My educational philosophy is that "success breeds success." As I guide the student to achieve small successes at the beginning, you will gain confidence in your ability. As your confidence grows, you will be able to conquer more challenges and succeed beyond what you might expect.

In fact, learning the piano will aid in learning all other musical instruments, improve hand-eye coordination and increase appreciation for music of all genres. But the benefits for your preschooler don't end at the keyboard. It will im
prove language development, math concepts (patterns, and counting), persistence, delayed gratification, critical thinking, logic, history, empathy and much more. And the benefits of playing the piano aren't just for preschoolers. Mature students show improvements in memory, brain function, health and coping with stress and anxiety.

I can't wait to see you or your child enjoy the music as much as I do.
