I'm 14 and Mr. Humberto treats me like an adult. Mr. Humberto is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. He slowly squeezes out all the bad habits that I had and puts good techniques in their place. He pushes me to be a better violinist. I am enjoying my time under Mr. Humberto's direction.

Humberto is one of the best violin instructors I have ever had. On our first lesson he came in with a smile stretching to his ears, and upon hearing me play immediately knew all the things that was wrong with my posture, playing, tone, rhythm and other problems as well. Ever since the first lesson, I have been making rapid improvements. Humberto is a great teacher and a swell guy, I would highly recommend him to anybody looking for violin lessons. -13 year old boy

I'm a native Colombian with 9 years of experience teaching Spanish to students of all ages and many different nationalities. My teaching methods focus on real-world experiences to develop robust, practical language skills that will serve you in your daily life. I love to get to know my students, and I will always personalize your lessons to your interests, needs, and goals. Whether you want to learn Spanish for work, travel, or fun, I can help you get there!

About jeison
I was born in MedellĂn, Colombia and began teaching myself English as a kid, learning from American TV, movies, and music. Soon I was helping my friends and classmates learn English too, and teaching languages has been my passion ever since. I have a master's degree in Spanish Pedagogy and over nine years of teaching experience, and I am currently working on a doctorate in Education focused on teaching Spanish.

I have taught a wide range of students, from children with special needs to business executives and diplomats. I adapt my lessons to the needs and interests of each individual, but my methods always focus on practical language skills that my students will really use. My classes revolve around conversation, not textbooks, and go beyond standard grammar and vocabulary to include the cultural elements that influence how people truly
use the language.

I believe that anyone can become fluent in a foreign language, regardless of whether they are able to study abroad or not. If you are serious about learning, I can design a program of study that will take you as far as you want to go with Spanish. Even if you have had difficulty with foreign languages in the past, I can help you overcome those roadblocks and achieve remarkable results.

I have 6 years experience teaching Spanish levels 1- Honors IV at the high school level, am a trained medical interpreter and taught English for 1 year in Granada, Spain, in addition to living in Germany.
Additionally, I have a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Maryland at College Park and have studied at the graduate level at American University.

About Ashleigh
