As a native spanish speaker, and a lover of languages, I am always happy to unlock the code to a language and culture for my students. I have a minor in Spanish from the University of Miami and always make sure to tailor my lessons to my students' needs.

About Michelle
VOCAL COACH
Rehabilitating and strengthening voices are two of my top specialties, and each lesson will have specific exercises tailored to helping you transform your voice into the highest and best version of your instrument. I work with singers signed to labels as well as the indie artist just starting to find his/her voice, style, and signature sound. My coaching approach incorporates some of the newest technologies that have shown extraordinary results in breaking down the inner blocks of each artist. It is a tremendously joyful and fulfilling experience to watch as my students really let their instrument shine brightly, boldly, and with an aboslutely stunning groundedness as they discover how powerful they truly are.

MUSICIAN/SONGWRITER/PERFORMER

Poised, energized, and armed with unforgettable performance ability, Michelle G
. is a firework in the artistic arena. Her training began at the young age of 3 with the violin, and a few years later received classes for piano and voice. Excelling in all three, Michelle developed a very passionate and dramatic personality that eventually led her to more dramatic genres such as opera and stage acting. Her aptitude to understand human emotions and relationships gives her a wide spectrum to play in as an actress. There is an organic flow to her interpretations both as an actress and musician that leads the audience to feel her emotional current. Her honest characterizations introduce deeper perspectives on what seems like the ordinary roles and storylines. Amongst the many other leads that she has played, her participation in roles like “Susanna” in The Marriage of Figaro, or “Donna Elvira” in Don Giovanni embody much vibrancy and integrity.
Through the development of her voice as a singer and actress, she has crossed over into other media such as voice over commercial work and vocals for pop/main stream music productions. She has recently participated as a vocalist and violinist in the albums of artists such as international jazz pop artist David Longoria, Latin pop singer Erick Bolivar, Grammy-nominated percussionist Souhail Kaspar, and American Idol’s Seysha. Over the last few years she has unraveled her musical skills as a songwriter/composer/arranger and has even had some small victories acquiring music placements on TV shows (NCIS, short film “Sumtin’ Like Dat”, The Dictator) for herself and some of her colleagues. Her singing can also be heard on the hit tv show "Jane The Virgin", "Castle" and "Shameless" amongst others.

Education
Michelle completed her Associates of Arts for Music/Music Education at the age of 18, and got later graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's of Arts for Musical Theater and Music Business, as well as from Florida International University with a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance.

*** Lesson Details ***
I tailor my lessons to my student's needs, style, abilities, and goals. Learning is truly a fun and passionate adventure for me, and my enthusiasm has consistently been a contagious quality :) I love to challenge myself & my students to discover how immense their true potential is, and I create a safe and fun environment to explore such facets.

My curriculum is combination of solid tradition (Suzuki method for piano & violin, and Bel Canto technique for singing) interwoven with pop-culture, and modern influences. Within the first 3-6 months, my students will know the basic building blocks of music - which includes scales, arpeggios, triads, intervals, technique, and performance repertoire; and for my singers this will include proper breath technique, tone placement, support, very often increased vocal range (both high and low), and will feel significantly stronger vocally and more confident getting up to sing.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Full size Keyboard, mics, pro tools, Violin (electric, acoustic, and Chinese Ehru)

*** Specialties ***
Specialties include:
- Audition technique and prep

About Clifford
'Dr. Cliff,' a part-time college/university professor, teacher and tutor with 5 master's and 3 doctoral degrees in a variety of topics: Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, MBA, Leadership, Education and Administration. He has always used proven educational techniques to instruct undergraduate students, graduate students and school children/teenagers (K-12). Dr. Cliff believes that, although many professors and teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, many students
and children do not learn well in traditional institutions. Many students and children don't respond to the assembly line nature of most institutions. He believes that a student's or child's strengths and natural abilities need to be the foundation of learning. Dr. Cliff often warns against a "cookie cutter" approach to educating students, teenagers and children. You or your child is seen as an individual, and natural strengths are identified and built upon. Therefore, individual one-on-one tutoring or help is the key approach to each student who has any challenges difficulties in a given subject.

In today’s environment and economic challenges, with shorter budgets for the education, larger classes sizes and pressure of performing well in all kind of standard tests, I often see many students lacking true knowledge and skills in a given subject, since they cannot get individualized attention during the class session. That’s where a tutor comes into the picture, not only uncover major “holes” in students’ knowledge set but also teach students how to study, how to learn and through proper guidance “fill” those knowledge and skills holes.

Daniel is a fantastic voice teacher and coach. My style of choice is mostly rock/blues, as I've been playing guitar forever, but only this year began to sing. He has taught me the correct way, recommended teaching material, and now that I'm recording, is helping me find my own voice. I think he could help anybody in most any other style too. He's the best.

This incredible women helped me hit a note that I never thought I’d even touch in my life, and then had me sing this note (as well as the song that accompanied it), in front of many people that I had never met before.

Amazing.

During her lessons, she had me singing from places I never knew you were supposed to sing through-- my gut, my lungs, my throat, and most difficult for me, my eyes She had me practice breathing, and often had me singing the silliest warm ups, to put all of this practice to the test. It took a lot of time and a lot of experience to distinguish those subtle differences and really understand their importance. Stephanie was so patient and so encouraging. She always took the time to make sure I understood what I was doing, and she never ran through a lesson without knowing how I was. She created a space where I could be vulnerable - where I didn’t feel embarrassed to sing a note (way the heck) off key. Even though we never formally practiced this, in the mix of all the other invaluable lessons she gave me, Stephanie taught me how much of a difference it makes to sing from the heart. I don’t think another teacher could have compared.

About Catalina
Loving what I do is what makes me an effective and popular Spanish Teacher/Tutor. As a Native Speaker of the target language, I had to learn English. Having had that experience, has helped me to relate to the difficulty involved in language acquisition and to become more compassionate with my students and their needs.
I have been teaching / tutoring successfully for over 15 years now. I have worked with students from elementary school - college level ( Undergrad/Grad). I have a Certificate in AP Spanish Literature, which is the highest level of High School Spanish. I have also worked with adults who wanted to increase their knowledge of the language and culture for both leisure and business reasons.
Keeping in mind the needs and goals of my students, each class is designed to cater to the individual's needs. !Buena Suerte con su

About Jimena
With only 21 years old I’m a touring and session musician, guitarist, songwriter, arranger and composer. I graduated from Musicians Institute on Music and Guitar Performance, awarded the Synester Gates Scholarship.

I've played with Steve Vai and led a solo with his band, Paul Reed Smith, Scott Page (Pink Floyd), Carlos Alomar (David Bowie), among others.
EMG and LINE 6 artist and product tester. I’ve toured all the U.S twice having over 70 live shows.
I’m part of a worldwide community of female musicians and guitarists among the best of the world.

I have participated in benefit performances, recording sessions, directed music bands, got experience teaching guitar and bass lessons for all ages in English and Spanish. I have a total of 70 live shows only in Los Angeles.

I started uploading videos of her playing punk rock covers to YT
and received attention by going viral and being mentioned on social media by some of the bands or artists covered such as Simple Plan and Orianthi. One of my videos passed over 115,000 views. I’m followed on social media by several artists supporting my work such as Joe Satriani, Orianthi(Michael Jackson), Rob Scallon, Jared Dines, Synester Gates(Avenged Sevenfold), Nili Brosh, Chris Broderick John Illsley, Doug Doppler, Melia Maccarone to name a few.

I enjoy playing all music genres in general but I enjoy the most playing and teaching metal, rock, blues and jazz blues. No matter what level you are, I’d love to help you improve your playing, technique and knowledge. From basic chords to different chord voicings, scales, modes, exercises, finger strength, speed, arpeggios, reading, music theory or ear training, I look forward teaching you and sharing passion for music.

Jimena’s passion for music creates a fun learning environment because that’s what music is about... having fun and enjoying the journey. She’s a patient teacher. Also, her no-pressure approach helps make the process easier, she’s available to ask for feedback or ask questions when needed. I would recommend her lessons to anyone starting out on learning how to play guitar or getting back into the groove of it.

Jimena Fosado is a great guitarist and an amazing teacher! I first met her when we went to Musicians Institute together, and got to know her and learn from her when we toured the U.S. together. She was very helpful in rehearsals teaching guitar, bass and keyboard parts. She also helped me perfect my technique when playing and switching chords on the guitar. Jimena is a patient and kind person which shows through her teaching; Make no mistake, anyone who wishes to have Jimena as their teacher will be challenged to reach their full potential.
