Mr. G goes over and above to help me pursue my interests. He helped me sing through a difficult time while my voice was changing. He supports me at performances and never fails to make me laugh. Working with him has been a fantastic experience and I feel that I have grown so much.

¡Hola! I am Roberto, and I am a Mexican guitarist living in NYC. Spanish is my first language and I can help you learn español. The best thing is that my lessons are online so you don't spend time commuting, or finding a parking spot; we can connect through different apps and keep on learning. Book a lesson and let's get you started.

About Roberto

Hi, there! My name is Roberto and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since around 2001 and have loved helping my students improve their technique, win prizes at competitions, and enjoy playing the guitar. I went to Hunter College/CUNY and earned a degree in Master of Arts i

I had the good fortune of having Roberto as my Traditional Harmony and Counterpoint teacher when going for my Music Degree in Mexico City. I can tell you his class was one of a kind and he turned a couple of the most complicated subjects of music into something very enjoyable. He's a strict teacher, but he values hard work dearly and he was always available for a student seeking help.
Manuel Vargas Mena
I had the pleasure and honor of being one of his students in Mexico City while I was in music college. He's a very disciplined teacher (never missed a class) and he has complete dominion over the subjects he teaches. Roberto's not only an amazing guitarist but he has a unique way of teaching music theory and history that makes you quite familiar with the different approaches to music over the different ages. He also shows a legitimate interest over his students, he challenges then and even owns when he's pointed out mistakes by them. During my time as his student I also realized that he was quite respected by the other professors. Fair warning: he can be a little sarcastic but he means no offense whatsoever to his students and fellow musicians.
Quique Escamilla
Roberto is a an excellent music teacher with invaluable knowledge and years of teaching experience. I have had the opportunity to study with him at 2 separate different periods in my music career/life—years ago, at a music college first, and more recently I've had the opportunity to reconnect with him and continue furthering my music knowledge with his great help over online classes. He has been very helpful, very patient, and I can highly recommend him as a great music teacher to anyone, at any level.

Hello!
Hola!
Привет!

My name is Yekaterina. I am a native Russian speaker. I've been teaching Spanish, English and Russian to adults and children for many years. I am also a classical pianist, singer and professional educator. I received my degree in piano performance and pedagogy in 1992, and have been teaching since then. I have lived (and taught) all over the world, and I love what I do.
I speak and write fluently in English and Spanish, but as a native Russian speaker, I had to learn English and Spanish (as well as Portuguese, French, Italian and Mandarin) languages from the ground up, just like my students, so I understand very well the challenges of learning a language. I have structured a specific approach that incorporates tricks and shortcuts. Little things you can do to bring the language into your everyday life... these little things that accumulate and make the whole experience of learning a language much easier and more natural. I consider myself a language ...

About Yekaterina

Hello future students :-) I was born and raised in Soviet Union, where I studied piano since I was 5 years old. I love teaching, and have extensive experience teaching not only music, but a variety of other subjects -- I successfully homeschooled my own 3 children for many years, one of them bein

I have been teaching Spanish since 1973, when I was 20 years old.
I did it for 10 years long (and still do) and I used so many methods that I finally came up with my own method to teach students of any age, any background and any motivation to learn a system that efficient, that will have you speak Spanish, and have a normal conversation from lesson one! I focus on verbs and practical conversation but no nonsense stories most books have. Books are only optional! And I am available also in between lessons and for as long as you need me in your lifetime with no retainer fees! The vocabulary is Latin American real life as you see it in the news! And best of all, I speak Spanish since I was 7 years old, when I used to live in Uruguay! I speak and teach 7 languages, soI know what is is to learn a foreign language and I know how to make it easier for you!

About Robert

My name is Robert M. I have a Spanish Teaching Degree from Curacao, a beautiful island that once was part of The Netherlands and I started teaching in 1973. So far I have been teaching Spanish for 12 years. I also have an Associate Degree in Applied Arts in Advertising Design from the Art Institute

"I have been taking Spanish lessons over the phone with Hilda for about seven months and I can't recommend her highly enough. She is intelligent, engaging, funny ...and she makes you work hard! She certainly inspires me to do my homework... I don't want to let her down. I couldn't speak a word of Spanish when I started with her, and now I am getting ready for a trip to Mexico and feel confident enough to guide my family around. Hilda is a joy to work with- I highly recommend."
