I’m originally from Argentina and I started teaching Spanish after I got a Fulbright scholarship to come to teach in the USA.
I have over 15 years of experience teaching both Spanish as a foreign/second language in classrooms and as a private tutor.
I love to make my lessons fun and memorable using interesting materials, songs and games.
I make most of the material I use and I always put emphasis on oral communication which is the main reason why people study languages!
I can help you improve your exam scores, get ready for that upcoming trip abroad, or simply learn Spanish for fun!

Learning Spanish In Chula Vista and San Diego County

By Alessandro G. - Chula Vista Spanish Teacher

Sweet, sunny Chula Vista, just 20 minutes south of San Diego, is well known for its gorgeous landscape, ocean life, and sparkling venues. And, for those of us looking to be better versed in the Spanish language, there is no better way to learn than to take Spanish lessons in Chula Vista. After all, Chula Vista was once a part of Mexico, so it’s no surprise that much of its population is Latino. Also, because San Diego neighbors the major Mexican city of Tijuana, there is a lot of business and tourism that happens between the two cities. Pass through Chula Vista, and you will hear more Spanish than English.

As you are taking Spanish lessons in Chula Vista, you will have tons of opportunity to practice your language skills in pu

...

blic places and also immerse yourself in the local Latin culture. The ability to just pick up a conversation with locals in a different language is an invaluable gift, because it allows you to fully immerse yourself in the culture and language; and we all know that there’s nothing better than full immersion to improve your language learning and conversational skills. Real-world experience is the best way to learn a language, because it puts you on the spot to speak and understand. The more immersed you are in a language and its culture, the quicker and easier it is to learn and speak the language.

Also, don't be shy to even take a little trip down south to Mexico for the day to eat some authentic food and to engage in total language immersion. However, Chula Vista itself doesn't lack at all in that department. There are amazing little spots like Tacos El Gordo or Tacos El Dorado that will take you right back to your last dream vacation to Mexico, and literally re-awaken your Mexican taste buds!

Additionally, the world-famous Old Town in San Diego is a great place where you can immerse yourself in a colonial-style little town in the heart of San Diego, experience the best Mexican food, music, and traditions, and even buy original stunning, handcrafted art from Mexico. Old Town is also famous for its November celebration of the Day of the Dead (el Día de los Muertos), with its traditional Mexican procession and art. Check out the festival’s website below: http://sddayofthedead.org

It is indeed very simple to find personal tutors who teach Spanish lessons in Chula Vista, who are native speakers of the language and who can mentor you and accompany you in your journey toward Spanish proficiency. Overall, you will find great beauty, inspiration and original culture out here, and you won't find a better place for language immersion, native-speaker tutors, and an abundance of Latin culture than Chula Vista and San Diego!
