I am a native speaker and former school teacher in Japan. Learning is fun-that's my motto. When you achieve your goals, you enjoy a feeling of accomplishment, right? I want to help you to achieve your goals. My lesson starts from finding what students really need to learn. Understanding student is the key to success. I am very strong in teaching proper Japanese, including reading and writing Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji with fun way. Also, casual, informal, practical Japanese too.

Jinko Sensei,

Thank you for your time and experience-based teaching. It was most enjoyable and I look forward to using some of these same grammatical patterns in Japan.

Until next time.

Through my experience as a youth ambassador to the island of Shikoku, studying at University in Tokyo, tutoring Japanese as a Resident Assistant for 2 years and working at a Japanese contemporary art gallery, I feel with my diverse set of experiences I am able to clearly communicate and make either setting a new foundation or building off one a fun experience!

I began learning Japanese at 15 years old where I studied as a Rotary Ambassador in an agriculture village for one year. Having never studied the language prior and in a small community with no English speakers - I feel I created some unique and fun ways to learn a language and really make it stick!

Although with my experience now working bilingually at a Japanese company, I am also conformable helping students with a good foundation of the language already deepen their understanding.

I am able to teach reading, writing and speaking!

Hi, I’ve taught Japanese since 2002 and I’ve always enjoyed teaching and interacting with students. I have taught American adults and college students for over 5 years now. Teaching Japanese to American military personnel and spouses who were stationed in Japan was the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. They truly needed the language skills to live in Japan, and they really appreciated that they were able to learn survival Japanese that’s instantly useful out in town.

I grew up in Japan and came to US to go to college. Since I was a college student, I taught Japanese to middle and high school students during summer in Japan. I have a Master of Education in TESL. Yes, I used to teach English more vigorously, but I found teaching Japanese more rewarding. I teach all levels including those who are starting out and also want to improve their fluency and understand the culture and history!
I’m looking forward to working with whoever is interested in my language :) Thank you!!

Konnichiwa! Since returning to the U.S. from Japan last year, I have been tutoring Japanese to young adults. I lived for almost nine years in Japan where I worked in a private school teaching English literature and ESL. I used Japanese daily in staff meetings and in writing reports and e-mails. My experience learning Japanese is unique in that I am self-taught (though I had many mentors). I have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level N2, and speak to my son in Japanese as well. I am a recent graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University. I look forward to aiding in your learning process.

What makes Japanese lessons with me unique is that I have been studying Japanese for many years and I have been to Japan twice. It is a beautiful culture and language that I have learned a lot from. I am just as passionate as any native speaker would be. I consider myself to be a teaching professional and an expert at the Japanese Language.

I have taught Japanese previously at Florida International University as a tutor in their language lab up until I graduated with my degree in Asian Studies. Learn Japanese the Easy Way: 3 Study Tips for Beginners

While learning Japanese requires time and patience, you can boost your learning with these tips from teacher Willy M... I hate to break it to you, although it's not impossible to learn Japanese, it's also not necessarily easy. Japanese is a complicated language on many levels. First you need to learn how to converse, then you need to learn the specialized words. If you want to read in Japanese, then you need to learn Hiragana for indigenous words, Katakana for non-indigenous words, and …
