I offer music lessons in the lower Hudson Valley region as well as remotely via Skype or FaceTime.
I have decades of experience working with students of all ages and levels and I often prepare students for recitals and NYSMMA competitions. I do not use a cookie-cutter method for instruction. Lessons are tailored to meet the specific needs of each student and taught in a comfortable and friendly teaching environment.
I specialize in teaching:
* beginners students (ages 6 and up)
* basic classical repertoire
* music theory
* jazz & blues improvisation

PS. I also give drum lessons!

I teach French since 1973. I am a French native speaker and I do teach and tutor privately. I did teach in schools since November 2016-July 2017 at the Fort Bend Christian Academy. My students were 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders. My teaching experience started teaching my students about Le Petit Prince. This marvelous story caught on very fast the imagination and desire to learn French in all my students. Never failed! I teach students to speak French and not to just read from a book.
I have always been a member of the Alliance Francaise in Curacao and I did study methodology on how to teach French as second language at the French island of Guadeloupe, at L'Ecole Normale, at Pointe-a-Pitre, in 1975, sent by the Alliance Francaise of Curacao.

Viola is the undersung hero of the orchestra, and I love to help violists learn this beautiful instrument! Though much of the technique of the instrument is the same or very similar to the violin, violists enjoy a great repertoire of solo pieces and high demand in ensembles, which I can help you discover for yourself. (Please see my violin profile for more information on experience and lesson style)
I love music, and I love helping other people find and develop their love for music! I teach all styles of violin and piano to ages 4 and up, with a strong emphasis on finding what kind of music each student enjoys and building a life-long love of music with solid technical foundations. I hold a

French is one of the most beautiful of the romance languages. Spoken as the official language in 29 countries, French is the second most widely spoken mother tongue in the European Union. Learning to speak and understand any language is a process of immersion. To truly understand and be able to translate French to English means understanding French culture and the idiosyncrasies of the language. One highly effective method for truly understanding a language beyond simply speaking it …

Humor makes our lives better, but can it make your Spanish better as well? Today I’m here to show you how you can increase your vocabulary and heighten your cultural awareness through jokes in Spanish. Understanding humor in our target language is a milestone in our learning process, and my favorite kind of humor to introduce students to is wordplay. I believe wordplay in any language is one of the most charming, creative ways we can express wittiness or silliness and it’s semantics …

Humor is one of those concepts that is impossible to translate literally. So much more depends on the jokes told than the mere words used. Nuances and cultural context add invisible layers that can trip non-native speakers up.
