I grew up in the German part of Switzerland. I was exposed to the language throughout my schooling years. In my professional life as a doctor's assistant and later CEO assistant I needed to communicate daily in the German language. I studied business for 3 years. Over the last 3 years I have taught numerous people German. Some only need a little guidance, others keep on coming back to master more fluent conversation.

I'm flexible with my time and willing to adapt to my students' needs.

About Karin
Guten Tag,
My name is Karin. I was born and raised in Switzerland. However, Miami is my home now. I love the unique melting pot of Miami. No wonder so many German speaking tourists, investors and patrons are visiting here.

Over more than ten years I have taught numerous people the German language. Some of them only need a little guidance to have a more pleasant traveling experience to Germany. Others keep on coming back to master fluent conversation and writing skills. I'm passionate about tutoring. My goal is to provide an atmosphere that will facilitate an ongoing level of improvement in my students' speaking, writing proficiency. You'll see this by the way I teach. I am flexible with my time and adapt easily to my students' needs. As a first step I get familiar with your expectations. Secondly I recommend an approach that fits you
. Thirdly I want you to have fun and learn in an interactive way.

Bis bald!

Karin is truly the best German instructor ever. The most important thing to me is that Karin helps me feel comfortable and confident in at not only reading and understanding German, but also speaking German. I am encouraged and helped at just the right level so I really know that I am learning how to read, write, and speak German in a German speaking country. But there are so many other things as well. The materials she uses are excellent. I get a copy of all the things she types during out on line learning sessions which helps me really learn and remember the German in the lesson. Karin has also sent me other materials such as useful phrases that I could use in situations in another country such as how to order and pay for food in a restaurant, how to tell the clerk what you want when reserving a hotel room, etc. In addition, I can always email Karin if I have a question or concern and Karin responds very quickly. At first, I was concerned that on-line lessons would not be as effective as a classroom lesson face to face. Karin immediately made me feel comfortable learning on line. Now I feel that I am getting more attention and personal one-on-one help more than I would ever get in a classroom. Karin is a really great German teacher.

I love learning German from Karin. As a "nervous language learner" I really appreciate not only Karin's knowledge of German but her patience. Karin inspires me to practice between lessons. The materials we are using is well chosen and and not only helps learning but also provides quick practice on my own. I look forward to my lessons and feel I am making good progress!

Completely bilingual German/English speaker with 20+ years experience teaching and tutoring German to students from different cultural backgrounds. The goal is for students to be able to actively use the language and not be afraid to experiment. The focus is on meaningful conversation and reading authentic texts. Classes are creative, fun and held to 95% in the target language.

About Annika
My first tutoring experience took place in first grade when I was asked to assist a newly arrived Vietnamese girl with her English. I myself had learned English when I first came to the United States at three years of age and could relate well to some of the issues the newcomer was facing.

A true global nomad, I have lived in Germany, the U.S., Mexico and Russia and have traveled extensively. Starting with English and German, and eventually Spanish, French and Russian, I have been instructing students since 1989 in various countries of a variety of ages in a multitude of informal and formal settings.

In 1990, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from George Mason University. In 1995, I completed my Masters Degree in Secondary Education/Teaching English as a Second Language. After one year of working in a public school
setting, I began teaching privately and on a freelance basis for a number of private companies and language schools, and the government.

What is my approach? First of all, I listen carefully. I believe it is important for an excellent job to know precisely what my client wants to accomplish. Understanding this is the prerequisite to reach the goals of the student. There will be a permanent interaction between my client and myself to monitor the progress, eventually speed up the tempo or, if necessary, to slow down.

There is no dogma; there is only one main criterion: success.

About Wolfgang
I spent two decades of my professional life teaching English in Germany, authoring and co-authoring textbooks for the English classroom.
During my stay in the US, I had the opportunity to develop curricula for teaching German in public schools as well as private schools and wrote articles in the field of German literature. Undoubtedly, my academic background (MA in German and English and a Ph.D. in the field of education) helps me to provide solid work for my students.

What is my approach? First of all, I listen carefully, very carefully. I believe it is important for an excellent job to know precisely what my client wants to accomplish. Understanding this is the prerequisite to give good advice, guidance and then, of course, a plan, a kind of strategy to follow in order to reach these goals.

There is no dogma; there is only one
main criterion: success.

Most highly recommended! I found Wolfgang to be an excellent German instructor for me. As a mature (50+) professional I was looking for a native German with perfect mastery of English and impeccable teaching credentials. Wolfgang fit that description perfectly. He tailored the lessons to my needs and made them fun. Along with the excellent language lessons, I really enjoyed his stories about life in Germany, and especially his hometown of Berlin. Thanks to Wolfgang I am much farther along my journey of learning to speak German.

Wolfgang was top notch. He understood and catered to both my learning needs and my chaotic schedule. His knowledge of the German language and its history only exists from a native speaker, and his skill with instruction only comes from decades of experience. Lessons were always informative and fun!

I have taken lessons with Ronald since I was 6, I am now 23. In my 17 years of taking lessons I have learned to play piano, sing and am proficient in music theory. In the more recent years I have even had the opportunity to teach music through Ronald. Throughout the years, I have experienced and witnessed the patience and kindness Ronald consistently shows his students. He encourages his students to become better and shares in their enthusiasm due to their accomplishments. Ronald genuinely cares about his students and is dedicated to making sure his students improve. I fully recommend Ronald for students who have parents who want to be involved in the learning process and especially for young children who are just starting out. Ronald works well with families, includes parents every step of the way and is very patient with young students helping them learn in an open and encouraging environment.

Mr.Chaz is really dedicated to his profession. He started to teach my seven year old son over one year ago and he has motivated him to sing his best and he started piano with him last year which has been a phenomenal experience for my son. Chaz really focuses on the detail, theory and groundwork necessary to excel in music. If you are lucky enough to get your child started with him you will never regret the experience. He is simply the best! My son sings all the time now and loves to play piano. I am so happy for my son to have found someone to expand on his talents!

About Maria
Hello I'm Maria Clara,

I'm latin-american but I lived most of my life in Germany because of my mother's work. I love to travel around the globe, meet new people, experience new cultures and eat new food.
I'm very open as I grew up in an international environment. I value manners and respect.
My love for other cultures and people makes me a great teacher, I'm very tolerant and understanding. My creative side always kicks in when I want to explain or teach something.
Don't forget that discipline is a very important part when learning something, so I expect for you to be as excited as me about the topic. If not, I promise I'll try to make it less hard ( specially for kids).
Hope to meet you soon!
