Reasons to learn German

An experienced & patient teacher.

We lived in Germany for 4 years and my kids were in the German school system and picked up German by immersion. In 2014 we moved back to the U.S. and Wolfgang has spent 1 hour every week since for the past 9 years with my 2 boys helping them retain their German skills and add to them. He is patient and kind and understands different learning styles. He taught my kids together as well as in 2 separate sessions. He used jokes, stories, and as they grew up discussed current events and other interesting teen topics. He has always been flexible with rescheduling or skipping a lesson when, on occasion, some of their other extracurricular activities got in the way of their lesson. My youngest son started with Wolfgang in 4th grade and now has just graduated high school. We continued with Wolfgang all of those years. Wolfgang understands that language is learned with speaking first and spends a lot of time on speaking and reading out loud without too many crushing grammar sessions. We are sorry that the boys lessons have come to an end. If anyone is in need of German language tutoring, Wolfgang should be your first choice.
