I am a graduate of Brown University with honors in Italian Studies and Performance Studies. I am a fluent speaker, having lived in Florence, Rome, and Sicily. I work with students to improve their understanding of grammar, their pronunciation, reading comprehension, vocabulary, conversation skills, and writing. I also have an extensive knowledge of Italian culture, history, and literature from my studies and research and am happy to share this with interested students. At Brown, I tutored students in the Italian Department through the dean of the college's tutoring center, and I have worked as a tutor with students of all levels in Providence and New York.

As a native Italian who has lived in several Italian cities including Rome for over 30 years, I have a comprehensive understanding of the Italian language and culture. Along with my knowledge and experience as a native Italian speaker, I also have over 20 years of activity as an educator, which allows me to tailor to the needs of my students. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping my students along their path of learning the Italian language.

About Andrea

Bassist and composer Andrea performs extensively within the improvised music scene, across a broad spectrum of genres. His instrumental tone, sensitivity and imagination, and melodic approach to a supposedly clumsy instrument brought him to perform and record with many established musicians. Based

Susan is a fantastic and committed teacher.

I had a college language placement exam looming, so I signed up for 10 lessons with Susan to help me review and prep for the exam. I ended up testing out of two semesters of college-level German, which was even better than I had hoped for! I couldn't have done it without Susan. She was fantastic at explaining the tricky subjects, like accusative vs. dative cases, and helped me rigorously review all of the material. Plus, learning with her was fun, and I looked forward to the lesson every week.

Ciao a tutti! Hello everyone! My name is Cindy and I'm Italian. I've been teaching Italian in schools and privately for many years now...I was raised in Rome where I have lived and worked for most of my life.

Do you want to learn Italian in a natural way, outside the bounds of a traditional language school? Studying a foreign language is an absorbing, complex experience.

It involves not only mastering new words, but also gaining a deeper understanding of the culture in which the language is rooted. To achieve this goal I devote all my enthusiasm, my skill at communication, and a sense of humor which makes for a relaxed study environment.

About Cynthia

Are you going on holiday to Italy? Would you like to learn the language? Do you think it is too hard to learn a language as an adult? Do you think you won't have time to study? There are many ways to learn a language. It doesn't have to be all too complicated or hard. Everyone has a personal way to

Dr. Chaz is a very knowledgeable and patient instructor. He is an incredibly adept musician. He can identify what exactly you need improvement on and provides the most helpful advice on how to attain that improvement. I have studied music (flute) for 10 years with numerous teachers and band/orchestra directors, all very skilled and incredible themselves, but I never received clearer instruction than with Dr. Chaz. He explained concepts that many young musicians (like myself) struggle with and he beautifully portrays the relationship between theory, practice, and performance. Additionally, I appreciate his emphasis on ensuring vocal health and meditation- meditating pitches so that one can internalize the pitches to sing them more accurately. I was planning to remain his student for as long as I could but due to personal health and scheduling reasons, I had to discontinue and hope to return soon. I 150% recommend taking his lessons. Get ready to learn so much and expand as a musician!
Mark
Really great vocal teacher. He's very patient to his students. He goes on all the topics about singing. He's really good at helping his students prepare for a song. He doesn't waste time on any unnecessary practice. He teaches his students how to practice at home. I learned a lot of singing terms from him as well. Overall, I think he's a great vocal coach.

"Valentina, is a wonderful teacher, She gets me used to hearing the language, since much of the fluidity of a new language revolves around the ear and hearing, and pronouncing the new words. She has given me a language course with background, and a grounding in grammar; and helps me with the words and idioms the I will use when I am in Italy. I am extremely happy with my lessons."
