I am a freelance tutor and translator. I have been tutoring for more than 8 years. I am very friendly, patient and professional. I tutor college students and children. I got my Associate in Arts and Sciences - Psychology from Union County College in NJ. On my sessions I apply constructivist teaching techniques which have proven excellent results. I am an avid observer of details which helps me determine the student's strengths. My classes are fun as playing a game! I am also a Therapeutic Mentor in Catholic Charities. In order to be accepted I had to get a full background check because I deal with very special and unique children.

Had our first lesson with Julissa and the experience was painless lol! My daughter was reticent at first but warmed easily. She thought she might not understan Julissa because of her accent but that was not a problem. All in all a great mathematic experience.

Yulia is an amazing teacher and great singer. She is very passionate about teaching and my sessions with her are fun and very educational. She is quick to pinpoint issues and rectifying them using different techniques to attain correct voice. For a complete novice in singing, I have learned a lot in a very short period, thank you Yulia. I highly recommend her.

I worked with Yulia to improve my vocal technique and coach my Russian repertoire. Yulia knows about technique and music more then many known teachers! She helped me a lot and I would definitely recommend her as a vocal instructor if you are just starting to sing or if you are an advanced singer.

I enjoyed my first lesson with Aliaksandra. She put me at my ease while challenging me. The one on one is exactly what I need to improve my ability to use the language. While I have been studying on my own for quite awhile, there is no substitute for having to actually use the language. On top of all of this, Aliaksandra is personable and fun.

I am born and have grown up Deaf. I regularly communicate in American Sign Language (ASL).

During my time at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), I weekly met a few students and helped them with their ASL courses. I signed words and sentences to these students when they asked me questions.

After I have graduated from RIT, I have worked at two federal agencies for three years. At one of these federal agencies, I have participated in ASL courses by one-on-one signing words and sentences to tutees and by having these tutees copy these words and sentences in ASL.

I can provide ASL lessons in the alphabet, common signs, visual description, classifiers, sentence structure, facial expression, body language, specialized signs, and ethical or professional relationships with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people. In addition these le
ssons, I can explain how signs and sentence structure form.

Mojy is BEST INSTRUCTOR EVER, very knowledgeable and passionate about the Persian Languages and teaching. She is very positive and wouldn't let you go to the next step before she makes sure you have learned what you need with fun and enthusiasm. She is very educated and learned about both Persian language and culture. She has a great understanding of the students' needs. Well, She is very pushy, but that is what we need to pass DLPT . I would not have GOTTEN 3/3+ if I would not have had Mojy for my teacher. Go Mojy! ;)

Mojy is by far the most qualified and talented language instructor I have ever had. After a week of class it was clear that she was an instructor that was on a completely different level than my instructors in the past. While under her instruction i vastly improved in every facet of my language, both in skill and in confidence. Her class room provides a relaxed but highly focused environment, and she genuinely cares about her student's success. If you give her your attention and effort then you will not be disappointment with the results.

After seven years' experience in Farsi I hit a proficiency plateau, but Mojy's customized and attentive instruction got my scores up to an ILR Level 3 in reading and 2+ in listening- my best scores ever! I can't recommend her highly enough. She knows what material works and how to explain complex grammatical concepts effectively. Best teacher ever!
