I feel that learning in general and learning a foreign language in particular is about repetition and I ask my students to repeat everything I teach over and over again until they know it by heart. I keep my lessons simple to avoid overwhelming the students and to allow time for them to repeat what they learned earlier. I teach the words that form part of the so called core vocabulary; words that are chosen according to frequency and range (in the sense that they “occur across a wide variety of texts”) It is often said that the first 2000 most frequent words cover approximately 90% of the vocabulary used by native-speakers in daily conversations. This means that for a student they represent the basic resource to be able to communicate.

About Bill
I have always been a self-studier in my entire life. Being able to learn with just books and your brain is a crucial skill to have! However, I know not everyone (and sometimes even myself) have the discipline and motivation to keep going during hard times. This is where a tutor would come in handy.

I would really love the opportunity to help you improve your English abilities. I believe in using examples, scenarios, conversation and visual aids to keep the class interesting. I listen to students needs in order to let you guide the lesson topics to where your learning needs and goals will be achieved. I am just a subject matter expert and a facilitator of your learning. I believe strongly in the value of education, self-learning and continuous learning. You will be a better learner if you approach each topic from your interests and from a discovery approach. You may find that learning English while also learning about other topics (business, careers, hobbies, interests, travel, culture, etc.) makes it more valuable.

I had taken a handful of Arabic language courses in college, but afterwards I felt like I forgot everything I learned. It was exhausting and frustrating to go back to the material and try to re-learn the basics. Aaron has helped me solidify my basics and made me confident and comfortable understanding and speaking both MSA and colloquial Arabic. He's extremely patient, sincere, and hilarious. He doesn't waste time and knows exactly what he's doing
