My name is Cassandra. My journey as a German speaker started off simple.
I'm a native English speaker and I took German in college without knowing a lick of German beforehand.
I later studied abroad in Vienna, Austria, and fell in love with the place - so much so that I moved there the next year in 2016 after I became A1 certified in the German language.

While residing there, I taught piano privately to children who only knew German, as well as taught English to a family who only spoke German and French.

I went further and took a language exam from the ÖSD in Vienna and became a certified B2 speaker in the German language.

I believe languages are a wonderful thing - they help us understand one another and expand our minds - helping us to grasp concepts which may not exist in another language.

I am here to help you become the best German speaker you can be :).

Language is a passion of mine! I’m fluent in both German and Swiss German having lived and studied in Zürich, Switzerland for two and a half years. I teach all levels! If you know some German and want to get better at it, have never spoken a word in your life but want to learn, or just want someone to practice your German with, I’m more than happy to help you out!

What is my approach? First of all, I listen carefully, very carefully. I believe it is important for an excellent job to know precisely what my client wants to accomplish. Understanding this is the prerequisite to give good advice, guidance and then, of course, a plan, a kind of strategy to follow in order to reach these goals. There will be a permanent interaction between my client and myself to monitor the progress, eventually speed up the tempo or, if necessary, to slow down.
There is no dogma; there is only one main criterion: success.

I am a native German speaker, born in Vienna, Austria to Nigerian parents. I have lived and worked in Nigeria, West Africa; London, United Kingdom; Waageningen, The Netherlands and currently work for a major United States Airline as a German speaking Flight Attendant. My background and life experiences have given me more exposure than the average person, and I am excited to help other people learn, expand their travel horizons and generally develop a sense of appreciation for different cultures and peoples.

Using books and online materials, I guide students through grammatical rules, vocabulary and pronunciation, using cultural examples as illustration. I collaborate with my German sister, who lives in Germany.
