Blue Island Language Lessons for Adults

Ciao, my name is Milko and I am a native Italian speaker who currently lives in Chicago. I love languages and I'm passionate about the skills that make us able to express ourselves in any situation. My lessons will use materials taken from real life, like songs, short stories, videos or article from Italian newspapers. We can talk about literature, cinema, cuisine, tourism or anything you will find more interesting. We will take care of grammar rules and common mistakes that will make you sound like a pro Italian speaker. I offer in person and online classes for all skill levels.

I am a native Spanish speaker with great enthusiasm for teaching the language to others. I strive to make each lesson unique according to your needs. If you are a beginner or an advanced student, if you are seeking simply to practice your conversation, or whichever situation you are in, I will be thrilled to help you.

Education is one of the most valuable things you can acquire. Knowledge stays with you wherever you go and you can use it in the less unexpected situation.

I was born and raise on Peru, South America. Spanish is my native language.
I also hold a Bachelor's on Biological Science from Roosevelt University with a minor in Chemistry. I have take classes like Molecular Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience. Also General and Organic Chemistry. General Physics and Math up to Calculus. I offer tutoring on Biology, General Chemistry and Math.

Being bilingual have been a great advantage for me, especially at work. That's why I offer Spanish lessons and tutoring, from beginning to advance levels.

It's amazing how our brain can absorb information in different ways. We can be learning something unintentionally. So whichever your circumstances are we should be open to learn or improve our skills every day. Remember, the process of learning never ends.

Teaching has always been my passion. I have been teaching Italian for some time. Some of my main points are:
 Plan, prepare and deliver Italian lessons to several level from beginning to more advanced students.
 Teach students to speak, comprehend, read and write in Italian language. Provide instruction in the culture and the literature of the Italian language.
 Adapt the lessons to the needs of the student and write reports to track their progress.

I am a British national (moved from London to Palo Alto, Oct ‘17) with over 12 years’ experience teaching English as a foreign/second language, including 1:1s, small groups and classes of up to 25 students – all across a wide variety of levels with excellent success rates.

I am a fully-qualified teacher (English degree and teaching post-grad diploma), also with 4 years’ experience as Head of a large English language department in a London college.

I tailor my course to you and your needs (Business English, written English, pronunciation, etc.), helping you to reach your goals.

There are three modes of Hindi learning that are offered by me - spoken only, elementary (including foundational reading, writing, listening & speaking) and advanced (for academic enhancement of language skills).

Each class is well-structured according to individual needs and paced accordingly too. I often tell interesting facts about the language, the life of the common man speaking it and the culture of the region.

My students feel at ease and look forward to their classes because they are interesting and incorporate things that they relate to. This way Hindi literature remains contemporary and relevant to new generations of readers.

My teaching style is inviting of student participation, supportive and gentle.
