*** Travel Equipment ***
I do not typically provide any equipment - but I am willing to select and purchase books for the students to learn from (cost of books to be reimbursed by the student/parent) when requested to do so.

I am also willing to provide stick-on note-names for the keyboard, for young children.

The students must have their own instruments, and provide a folder for sheet music and notes/instructions.

*** Specialties ***
Guitar, I specialize in the following styles: jazz, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, and children's songs.
Piano: I prefer electronic keyboard to acoustic piano, but am happy to teach beginning students on a regular piano as well. I teach note-reading, playing by ear, and theory, with en emphasis on rock, pop, and folk music. I include arranging, chord theory, and use of the many features of an elec
tronic keyboard, in the lessons.
Bass Guitar: I teach rock, pop, funk, and country music on bass.
Banjo: I teach bluegrass, country, and some blues and rock music. I can also teach a bit of old-timey frailing/clawhammer style.
English and Reading: I am highly qualified, to tutor/teach English (spoken, written, and reading comprehension) to both native English speakers and to those learning it as a second language.
*** I am particularly good at working with children who have a.d.h.d. and other learning disabilities!

About Sara Ann
I pace our lessons andI over explain a technic to make certain the client gets the concept. Patiently and with a sense of humor we apply it to a song that is a target song the client really can "sell" and just wants the vocal know-how to do.
With two masters degrees in voice and speech-language pathology, with specializing in eliminating chronic hoarseness and giving you the perfect foreign accent, I am a premier singing teacher who still sings at jazz jams sessions. I previously was a full time professor of voice and music education, a Fulbright instrumental/vocal teacher at high school level, an elementary music supervisor. In recent years, I wrote a book & videos as a licensed speech language pathologist for those with chronic hoarseness, laryngitis, & vocal nodules. Clients love how I mold technique to a song the first lesson.

I signed up for singing lesson on a whim. Sara was great; very patience and knowledgeable. Please take in consideration, I have no music or instrument background so we worked on breathing and body position which she made fun then at the end of each lesson we sang a song or two. After each lesson, I left with new knowledge and one or two thing to work on that week. For a spur of a moment decision, I obtain a new understanding of music, singing, and met a wonderful creative lady. Good Experience all around.

I am a very patient, motivated and enthusiastic teacher and I always adjust my teaching methods to the student's age, needs and purpose. I never give up on a student and I am sure I can help him/her attain his/her full potential. Having learned Spanish as a second language, I have a personal understanding of the challenges involved and the need to continually practice learned skills. Fulvia has been our teacher now for 3 years. We wanted to learn Italian because we travel to Italy often.
Each lesson is well prepared and thought through by the teacher. Fulvia uses many different ways to make lessons fun and the language more approachable.
They include books, videos and interactive games etc. There is always a bit of homework to do to help follow up with the weekly lesson. She always finds ways to help us understand subjects that are challenging.
That Fulvia is a native speaker of the Italian language is a big bonus.
Fulvia is a great teacher and we highly recommend her.

About Andrew
I'm currently an Aerospace Engineering student attending the Georgia Institute of Technology, so I love science (particularly space stuff). I'm super outgoing and a very laid back, chill person all at the same time (being like this has produced quite the stories). I also love food, a lot, especially rice and beans (when done correctly).

Working with others and helping them succeed has been something I've loved to do for a while now. While I was in high school, I was a coach for one of the local swim teams and had a blast getting to teach people how to swim and such, and the best part was getting to connect with those kids and seeing them succeed during the swim meets.

Once I graduated, I had the privilege to serve as a full time volunteer in Brazil for a couple years, where my sole focus, every day, was to help others to improve t
he quality of their life. In doing so, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet new people everyday and see people's lives drastically improve. Another cool part of this experience was that I got to teach English as a second language to people who'd never spoken it before. They loved it, and in the time that I did teach it, students went from speaking no English to being able to form basic sentences and have simple conversations.

Now in college, I've strived to continue this pattern with the little free time that I get on the weekends due to my classes. Throughout all of this, I've discovered how easy it is for me to connect with people and how much fun it can be.

What I bring to the lessons:
I always ensure to provide the highest quality lessons and ensure that the student easily understands the materials. I'll provide materials that I know will assist the student to master the concepts.

My expectations:
Learning requires the student to put in effort. Any assignments I give, I will expect them to be completed. I understand that sometimes one of "those weeks" comes around where life hits us in the face, but it's not every week.

Your expectations:
You've come to me obviously to learn something new, and I intend to go above and beyond those expectations. I want the lessons to be more than just sit down, do the work, and then leave. That's not a great way to learn stuff, in my opinion. Expect to be brought out of your comfort zone a bit and experience things you never experienced before. Above all, expect to see these lessons as an enjoyable experience.

About Alessandra
I was born and raised in Italy with the privilege of developing strong ties with the local American community linked to the U.S. Navy base. I was able to keep both languages simultaneously alive and current starting at a very young age.

After graduating from the William Shakespeare Linguistic High School of Formia (LT, Italy), I attended the Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori (Superior School for Interpreters and Translators, Rome, Italy) and graduated in 1992 after 5 years of advanced courses in technical and literal translation, grammar, literature, consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.

With my experiences, my studies and my passion for languages I was able to build a successful career as an Interpreter (last experience at CNN for the visit of Pope Francis in Myanmar), a Translator (Major ongoing clients: Amazon a

I have the honor of being part of the Board of Directors at AAIT (Atlanta Association of Interpreters and Translators) and the privilege of volunteering for the Italian translation of the app ShareTheMeal, an initiative of the United Nations World Food Programme.
