*** Lesson Details ***
Lessons are tailored to the individual student's initial abilities. In all genres of music, it is important to breathe well, have breath support, communicate the emotion and character of the song, and eliminate vocal bad habits. These issues are different for everyone.

I teach a classical Italian technique of breath support and beautiful tone, and these techniques can be applied to all musical styles.

The student will be assigned and choose songs to learn and work on as we incorporate the techniques into the songs and vocal exercises.

Piano lessons and Italian lessons are also available from ages 4 and up. Piano lessons include music theory and recital participation. Voice lessons include recital participation. Italian lessons are available at my location, your location or online.

Pasta. Pizza. Spaghetti. As Americans, we're pretty familiar with Italian food. But do any of us know the language? Do you know the difference between when you should say "bravo" or "brava" in a concert? Whether you need help for an exam, or are about to study abroad, I'll help you learn Italian and improve your pronunciation so that you're ready to go!

About Nicole
Nicole is available to teach lessons for students of all levels. Beginning her singing career when she was 7, she most recently sang at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, was a winner of the international CS Competition in musical theatre, and is a Chicago F.A.M.E. finalist for Jazz and popular music. Combined with her training and professional experience, Nicole teaches singers to switch gracefully between multiple styles. She practices what she preaches: one night she might be singing Beyoncé, and the next morning she might be singing Handel's Messiah!

Nicole has been a young artist for Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Metropolitan International Music Festival, and for Tiroler Opern Programm, under international instructors, including Elizabeth Bachman (from the Metropolitan Opera), Kim Josephson (Metropolitan Opera), Sharon Cheng (Caramoor),
Michael Fennely (Carnegie Hall), Wei-En Hsu (Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra), and Candace Evans (Santa Fe Opera). Nicole earned her Associates in Theatre from Brigham Young University ('12) and went on to acquire her BM in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University ('14). Nicole obtained additional training from Boston University, Elon University, and the University of Alaska Anchorage.

I have been a teacher for more than 20 years, teaching various subjects to students of all ages. I studied Italian first in high school; then throughout my college years. I've become proficient in it and I now tutor students in NYC public schools (primarily high school) that struggle with the language. I am patient, thorough and I try to make it fun and interesting for the students who often come to me quite frustrated initially.

About Anne-Marie
Hi, I'm Anne-Marie and I love to teach! I have been teaching for over 25 years and whether the subject is English, Music, College Prep or Italian, I love helping students reach their goals. I work hard to leave my students enlightened, encouraged and empowered. I have high standards and I really like to challenge students to achieve their full potential, but I also try to make the process interesting, engaging and fun. I'm patient, easygoing and I enjoy working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I always strive to get to know my students (and their needs) very well. Then I customize lessons according to need, aptitude and goals. One of the best parts of teaching for me is meeting and connecting with new people, and making a difference in their lives, so I really look forward to meeting and working with you!

I was born in Italy and lived there for 36 years. I went to school there and I have a Bachelor Degree from one of the oldest Universities in Europe, the University of Verona. Before college, I attended the Liceo Linguistico, where I extensively studied Italian Grammar in connection to Latin, French and German. I can honestly say I master the Italian grammar in all of its structures.
I have been working in Customer Service for an American Bank in Italy for the last 10 years. In addition to that, I have been tutoring students of different ages, Elementary School all the way to High School, since I was in college. The subjects I covered were for the most part English, Italian and Math. I was also tutoring adults who wanted to learn English as beginners or improve their conversation skills. I loved my job at the bank, but at the same time there was nothing more satisfying than seeing my students succeed: I have always enjoyed helping people improve their communication skills and improve ...

About Francesca
I was born and raised in Vicenza, an hour west from Venice. My husband is American, we met in Italy and after living together there for 15 years, we decided to move back to the US last Summer. We have two kids, 7 and 4, who are perfectly bilingual.
I have always enjoyed teaching English to little kids and adult friends in Italy, so I can only enjoy teaching Italian even more. Although I'm enjoying this adventure in the US, I miss my country tremendously and teaching and speaking my own language is one of the things that excites me the most. I have also travelled Italy and most of Europe extensively, and I love discussing about all the different cultural environments that I've experienced.

I enjoyed today, my first lesson with Delia. She asked questions and listened to the answers. I felt encouraged by her relaxed and flexible teaching style. She was patient. She waited for me while I took note. She repeated words and concepts that I didn't understand. We had created a learning plan, started to work on it. I feel hopeful I will finally be able to learn Italian. ;-)

Experienced teacher from Turin (Italy) now working as an Architect at UCSD. I would be glad to talk about Cinema and more broadly about pop culture. As a world traveller I am very open to new perspectives and I like engaging in interesting discussions.

About Dario
After having resized that I couldn't make it as a pro volleyball player or chess master (I wasn’t any close), I spent the last few years studying passionately Architecture and working abroad. This competence has always been clear to me and it converges in the work with different design teams.
When I am not in front of a computer screen, I am usually with my cat and my one year English Setter/Hound dog mix, who loves to run and exercise even more than I do. I am very much a kid at heart, love to cook, watch good films, play games, and travel whenever I can.
I love meeting new people and learning new things. Linking the eyes with the heart, before shooting a photo or painting on a canvas are the activities which I prefer. Bringing with me the sketch book is a call for my soul. I love good communication and when I do something I’m always sea
rching for somewhat to do which could enlarge my way of thinking.

I started teaching Italian in 1985, in McAllen, Texas, as a private tutor. I again kept tutoring Italian, this time for freshmen college students in Sugar Land, Texas in 2015. I am an Italian native speaker, and at the present time I am writing short stories in Italian.

About Robert
My name is Robert Mirza. I have a Spanish Teaching Degree from The Netherlands and I started teaching since 1973. I also have an Associate Degree in Applied Arts in Advertising Design from the Art Institute of Houston. I combine art with any language to teach children up to 2nd grade to make it fun. For any other student I use my innovative method without books, some sites in the net and we immediately start speaking the language the student wants to learn. But I still have the best books on demand if needed. I customize my lessons to the needs of my students and I am available 24/7 for any questions to make it as easy as possible for my students, no matter their age. I make learning fun and interesting for all my students because I love what I am doing!

I have been taking lessons from Robert for about 6 months and it has been a great experience. Robert takes a very individualized approach and works incredibly hard both during and between lessons to make the lessons relevant to where I am both in terms of the level of content and making the topics covered interesting. It is also obvious that Robert is - at the end of it all - a really good person who is enjoyable to spend time with while learning about both language and culture.

About Luis
I'm a classically trained musician that specializes mainly on brass and piano instruments. I can teach woodwinds and percussion. Also teach languages for singers like Spanish, Italian, French, and some German.

I'm currently working on getting my bachelors degree in music education here in San Diego (SDSU). I already teach music at a few elementary schools and I teach lessons privately in my home. I also tutor music students at my college that need help with music theory, aural skills and ear training, music history, soloing, and languages.

My goal is to help anyone and everyone who wants to progress in their musical journey and teach them everything I know to be a successful musician because the music industry is very competitive. Although I do teach music for fun for those who simply want to be a little more musically inclined and to b
