She's got a lot of experience and knows exactly how to help me find the right technique using various ways to explain, such as the physical and physiological side, as well as more imaginative and creative explanations that I could easily relate to. I enjoyed the lessons very much because I felt I was achieving something new every lesson. Will definitely take more lessons with Olga in the future!

I have a Ph.D. in Philology and am a native Russian speaker born in Moscow - the capital of Russia. Therefore, I can apply my knowledge of language methodologies to teach Russian. Also, I have tutored foreign students in Russian for many years already.

Russian is my native language and it is one of the most beautiful, amazing languages in the world; it is the language of great writers and poets, actors and artists, philosophers and scientists, musicians and humanists. Besides teaching I held lectures in theory of language, history of language, psycholinguistic, and sociolinguistics.

About Tatiana
I am a former German professor from Russia who currently lives in America and tutors full time now Russian and German.

I provide a variety of activities for my lessons so you will never get bored. For example, I will use games, interactive conversational lessons, fun warm up tasks, case studies, and even riddles. We will use authentic materials as well. You will learn conversational skills, formal writing skills, and test taking strategies all in a fun manner.

I have a background as as an experienced lecturer, teacher, and tutor in the field of linguistics (general linguistics, history of linguistics, psycolinguistics, social linguistics, gender studies). Since defending my dissertation, I have continued to do research in gender studies in the field of virtual communication and digital text, especially non-verbal communication, soci
al networks and gender-specific communication. However, I have found that my true passion is helping students in one-on-one lessons.

I am a native Russian speaker and I have studied Russian since elementary school. I graduated from Chishinau university, where 40% of the courses are taught in Russian including Russian grammar and literature. I have taught private courses as a German teacher, to Russian speakers, and therefore I have experience explaining Russian grammar and conversation. I have a deep appreciation for Russia’s literary heritage and am constantly reading classic Russian texts.

I have experience teaching online Russian language to English students. My materials are adapted to English speakers and my beginner students are excited and able to engage in Russian small talk within 6-8 lessons. My lessons are efficient, well planned and productive.

I’ll teach you spelling and grammar rules, I’ll extend you vocabulary and we will always be practicing and reviewing previously learned material. I help encourage my students to study Russian. With me you will smoothly move from a beginner to more advanced.

About Valentina
• Russian native speaker
• Professional proficiency in English and German
• Familiar with Romanian and Turkish language
• Experienced instructor
• Able to plan and organize a classroom curriculum
• Able to communicate and coordinate with a wide range of individuals

Hello, my name is Valentina. I'm a Russian and German teacher.

German

I specialize in teaching German at the High School level. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in German and spent a year working and studying in Munich, Germany. I then found work in a private school and instructed over one hundred students. I have since continued tutoring individually specializing with online lessons.

My goal is to improve my students’ language skill through conversation and I push my students to speak German from the first lesson. I believe this helps students gain fluency an
d lose their fear of making mistakes while speaking. No one can be perfect in a month but the student needs to be comfortable enough with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation so that they can communicate in German and improve through conversation and dialog.

My youngest students were 6 years old and I have also taught older students. I enjoy working with children and am fascinated by how quickly young students can learn and grasp languages. Especially when learning is incorporated in a game where a student can passively learn to use new vocabulary as a tool to win a game among others. I am very grateful for all my students and the wide variety of experiences that I have had interacting with them.

Russian

I am an experienced language teacher. My experience is teaching German as a second or third language to Russian and Romanian speakers, but since I am a native Russian speaker I can use what I have learned teaching German to teach Russian.

My teaching philosophy is to learn through practice. Everyone makes mistakes and part of learning a new language is overcoming the fear of making mistakes and being willing to work through errors to convey an idea or thought. People learn a language best when they use it as a tool to achieve a goal.

If I had been lucky enough to have a teacher this great for Spanish, I never would have struggled throughout ALL of high school. I decided to try and learn Ukraine for a good friend of mine who's home is there. Nataliia has been so great. She has her lessons structured in a great way so that you basically build a strong foundation before moving on to the frame and drywall and decorations. She's always on time for our lessons and has made accommodations for me when I had to reschedule as well. You'll be extremely pleased with what you take away from every week from your time with her. Would totally recommend Nataliia to anyone wanting to learn one of the languages she teaches! Seriously, an awesome instructor. Thank You!!

Привет! Russian is my first language and it has a very special place in my heart. I love it for its emotional charge and incredible poetic expression.
After many years of helping my friends who study classical voice, I found new interesting and simpler ways to teach this language

About Artem
Hello! My name is Artem Kolesov and I'm 22 years old. I'm a second year Masters student at Roosevelt University majoring in Violin Performance.
I am passionate about teaching because I believe education and willingness to learn is an extremely important factor for personal development and success.
I was born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia and underwent intensive training in Voice, Violin and Piano. After winning the Frieburg Intenational Violin Competition in 2010, I was offered a full scholarship to study music at Dalhousie University at the age of sixteen. After moving to Canada I had to go through a 9-month intensive english learning program, so I know first hand how difficult it can be to learn a new language. This experience helped me understand the struggles that any ESL student goes through and discover new ways to teach
my first language to others.
I am excited to get to know you and share my knowledge with you!

I have always had a passion for teaching languages, whether it was Russian, Ukrainian or English. Russian is my native language and I enjoy teaching it the most. Ever since I was in the middle school, I would come over and help my classmates in their struggle with complicated Russian Grammar rules, and later on I started giving private lessons to students of smaller age than me. Even though I majored in Economics in college (which I loved), linguistics would always remain my first passion. I continued with passing on my knowledge to other people, mostly foreign students in my native city Donetsk.

After I moved to the United States in 2015 I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in accounting, alongside teaching Russian to people around me. I take pride in some of my students who have achieved remarkable results for a short time.

About Diana
WHY spending money to buy programs on the computers, heavy workbooks or learning language alone? You could commute back and forth to a group class, taught by professor who doesn’t even know your name. OR you could find a real-life professional native speaker just minutes from you? One who comes straight to your home (or we can meet elsewhere) at the time that best suits your schedule? I’m here to help! Let’s make Russian Language learning fun!

I believe that each student is different, so I always do my best to adapt my lessons to your needs and your learning style. However, I don’t think it’s possible to teach “only grammar” or “only conversation”. I offer my students a lot of conversation practice, but also grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading exercises. I also enjoy sharing a whole lot of Russian traditions and specialties of th
e culture. Nelson Mandela put it best, but I feel EXCACTLY the same about the language learning process:

“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”

I have been teaching Russian for more than fifteen years at all levels from middle school to graduate students and native speakers. I incorporate a variety of materials from
contemporary Russian culture (or other areas of content based on student interest) in order to create a relevant and authentic language learning experience.

About Rachel
I have a PhD in Russian and a BA in Spanish. I have taught both languages at many levels, from middle school through to graduate school. As a college student I lived and worked in Moscow, Russia as a security guard at the US Embassy, where I learned lots of unusual vocabulary in Russian related to items that could be picked up by the metal detector. I have also spent time studying and conducting research in Siberia and in St. Petersburg, Russia. I have lived, studied and traveled throughout Mexico, and taught public school Spanish and French for two years prior to graduate school. I am originally from Virginia, and before I started studying Russian in high school, I was planning to be a professional classical pianist. I live in Central Virginia now with my husband and our adorable but very demanding English bulldog, Lou. I am a member and
the Conference Manager for the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages, and have taught Russian at the University of Richmond, the University of Virginia, Northern Virginia Community College, and Ferrum College. I regularly publish and present research at conferences in the field of Russian language teaching as well. I am a kind and merciful teacher, but require commitment and dedication from my students. You WILL learn from me, but you have to work too!
