I am Russian native speaker. While working at Alliance Française I was tutoring French people in Russian language. I can help students to understand this subject deeper and to concentrate more on speaking practice which is very important in learning language.

About Helen
Hi, there! My name is Helen and I can't wait to meet you!
I've been teaching private lessons since 2009 and have loved helping my students to speak a new language, to successfully pass their exams, and to increase their language confidence.
I went to National University of Donetsk (Ukraine) and earned a Master’s degree in French language and literature in 2010. I'm a patient and easy going person and my teaching methods always depend on student’s age and language needs. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

About Aksana P.

Brooklyn, NY
View Full Profile

I've been teaching Russian language for 19 years.

I offer Russian Language lessons/classes:
Language development,
Social Language Use.

My lessons are based on dialogue and discussions. I have found this strategy extremely effective and beneficial in developing strong instructor-to-students relationships.

I think it is very important to study the Russian language in close connection with Russian culture. I try to choose topics that interest the students, help them feel comfortable and lower their anxiety about making mistakes.

About Aksana
PhD. in Russian Language and Literature, Immanuel Kant State University of Russia (Kaliningrad State University), Russia, 2002 Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Russian and Belarusian Languages and Literature (Diploma with honors), Belarusian State University, Belarus, 1995.

I am a native Russian tutor. Now I live in NYC and teach Russian as a foreign language in CUNY.

I teach the Russian language from the very beginning - elementary, basic level - to higher levels.
The most important goal of my classes is that you enjoy our meetings by keeping interest and feeling the progress.
Individual approach to each student is the key point to the success. We study the vocabulary, grammar, and situations related to the student's current activities. As a result all my students successfully use the learned skills for their professiona
l or private life.
During my lessons, I'm trying to reach the best balance between speaking, listening, grammar, conversation and other aspects of the language.
I can help you understand the system of the Russian language, so that you were not limited by phrases that you learn during the lesson, but could make your own sentences, paragraphs, express your thoughts in different ways.
We will pay enough attention to grammar, pronunciation, reading and speaking.
I will explain to you the way Russians talk in their everyday life because some Russian foundations and manners differ from American ones.
As your personal instructor, I'm going to give you honest feedback on your strengths and weaknesses and design a curriculum that fits your needs.
I'll be happy to help you learn the Russian language. Feel free to contact me and ask any questions.
Thank you for your interest - I look forward to seeing you in my classes!

Policy: All changes in the schedule (except emergencies) should be made 24 hours before the lesson, otherwise the lesson will be marked as missed.

I was a Russian minor in college, and Aksana is still one of the best Russian instructors I have ever had. I have learned and improved so much in just the few short months I have taken her lessons. She is funny, kinda, and keeps me accountable. Highly recommend!

Yulia is an amazing teacher and great singer. She is very passionate about teaching and my sessions with her are fun and very educational. She is quick to pinpoint issues and rectifying them using different techniques to attain correct voice. For a complete novice in singing, I have learned a lot in a very short period, thank you Yulia. I worked with Yulia to improve my vocal technique and coach my Russian repertoire. Yulia knows about technique and music more then many known teachers! She helped me a lot and I would definitely recommend her as a vocal instructor if you are just starting to sing or if you are an advanced singer.

I am Russian born, i grew up in another country, i dealt with so many accents and languages i believe i could guide you through, to speaking, pronouncing, reading, and typing maybe! i am very new to this but i can see myself being good at teaching languages!

About Daniel
My name is Danil, it's changed to Daniel but soon to change back to original.

i was born in Russia, Siberia in 1990,
i've came to Israel in 1993,
and came to the US at 2015
ever since around age 8 i've noticed how easy i've pick up languages managing to speak and understand 3 languages at early age, teaching many of my friends throughout years alot of words and translations, a-specially family and from Russian to Hebrew, i'm self taught with english as-well since pretty much same age,i believe that some teaching systems aren't good with explaining and actually educating and teaching rather than passing their 9-5, i've never been teaching before Professionally but i'd be most happy to start here and be able to actually help and teach and also learn myself, i am available for 3 languages
English, Russian, and Hebrew for now,
cant wait for our first lesson!
are you ready?!
