I teach AP English Literature & Composition at Orinda Academy in Orinda, CA. I have a decade of teaching experience within various environments and demographics, including elite private schools and working with learning differences.

I also help students with SAT Prep, college guidance, and college essays.

I've published three novels called The Sleep Trilogy and also offer my services as a creative writing instructor and editor.

About Peter

Over the past 10 years, I've worked as a professional touring musician (singer, guitarist, pianist) for the rock band, Inside Switch. I studied piano at the Dallas, Texas School of Music. I also attended the James Madison University music program. I have played piano for 20 years and guitar for 15.

What I Learned From Peter.

- THE METRONOME IS SO IMPORTANT
- The voice guides the guitar if you’re more of a singer
- Repetition is key
- Practice songs that aren’t in your style to ease your way into guitar
- The power resides in strumming rhythmically
- Focus is more difficult that it seems when combining singing and guitar
- Guitar is an art in itself and itself you shouldn’t master guitar, you should be it’s friend.
- Open mics and video content are the key to more success as they expose you to criticism (good or bad)
Again, the guitar is your companion.

For any aspiring musician or any musician that needs guidance and improvement on the guitar, Peter is a great teacher.

Peter is very patient and great teaching my 9yr old son. We take father and son lessons together which has been amazing. Peter is naturally talented and plays many other instruments all in from his home studio. He is also extremely flexible and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Just did the free intro class with you and really enjoyed it! You were patient and repeated things slowly when we needed it. My son's review: "I loved it and I learned a lot!"
My almost 10yr old son took it with me as he's been wanting to learn sign language to help him communicate. He's ADHD and gets frustrated super fast and likes to communicate non verbally when he's mad so we've been looking to learning "officially". We learned today the colors of the rainbow along with his favorite color gold, numbers and letters. We hope to take a paid class soon when we have discretionary funds :)

More than 2 decades of experience in the Latin Language. I taught Latin at a private school for 10 years, teaching all levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). I also taught Latin at the Centro de Lenguas in the University of Cd. Juarez, Mexico, where the majority of my students were Biology college professors who wanted to learn the language to better understand the scientific terminology used in the sciences. I'm familiar with the most common Latin courses used by schools (Oxford Latin Course, Cambridge Latin Course, Ecce Romani, Wheelock's Latin Course, etc.). My students can expect the highest quality of instruction. I will guide you step by step and together we will discover the beauty of this amazing language. Do not be intimidated, you will really enjoy learning this language, give it a try!

About Ivan

I'm a very friendly instructor who will give you individualized attention from the beginning of your class till the end (I like my students to take full advantage of their day and make the best out of each class, or like the Romans would say "Carpe Diem-seize the day"). I like to teach in a relaxe

Mr. Iniguez is an excellent teacher. He has a highly energetic and enthusiastic disposition and a lot of patience for his students. There has never been a case in which I asked a question that he did not give his best to answer. He is very welcoming and knowledgeable! Not only will you get the instruction that he promises, but he will also give you fundamental knowledge on the origin of whatever he is teaching (essentially he explains how the knowledge is transferring to you came to be in history and why it matters). You will NOT regret being taught by this excellent instructor!

Ivan consistently expresses passion in his approach to instruction and a tremendous deal of empathy when it comes to his students' learning needs/abilities. He is the best Latin instructor I've met to date.

Mr. Iniguez is a dedicated, caring teacher, extremely well educated and experienced who always impressed me with his hard work and attention to all his students. They showed great affection for him, the kind that only intuitive and insightful teachers elicit from their students.

"Yulia is the bomb dot com!! She made my first lesson comfortable. Yulia noticed during the online lesson that I was tense and informed me that learning a new language is supposed to be fun and judgement free (relax and have no worries). Within seconds I went from nervous and tense to chill mode and jovial. She made learning this beautiful language so easy and it’s a bonus that she is very patient. With Yulia’s help I know I will be ready for my trip to Rome with my wife and in-laws at the end of the year. 🤫 they don’t know I’m taking Italian language lessons...STOKED!!"

"I've been taking lessons with Suyeon for 5 weeks now and it has made a huge difference. Suyeon is patient, friendly, and encouraging. She makes the material easy to understand and is happy to answer questions. I began our lessons with almost no knowledge of the language and already I have learned how to construct basic sentences, ask and answer simple questions, politely order food, count, tell time, and conjugate verbs. I actually learned more in our first lesson than in the entire month I tried to teach myself, because even though I was very motivated to learn, much of the information I found on the internet was either incorrect or incomplete. So happy with my decision to hire Suyeon. I definitely recommend it!"
