Hallo liebe Studenten! Wilkommen ins Deutch Klasse! Welcome students! My name is Alex Boyt and I am a theatre artist so in addition to teaching acting classes, I teach german as well! I studied german for 3 years in high school, and another 3 years in between and at my undergrad. A good friend of mine in high school moved to my school from Germany and some of his family members only spoke german so I learned a lot more just through being around native speakers. I am conversationally fluent and have a strong foundation when it comes to grammar, sentence structure, and verb conjugation. A graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education with majors in Spanish (Native Speakers' fluency) and German
( Native Speakers' fluency) in Language, Literature, and History, and Piano/Vocal Performance (Music); and minors in French Studies (Language and Culture), Italian, Linguistics, and Interpreting/Translation.

He has spoken German and Spanish since the age of 11 due to his German upbringing with a German step-father as well as his Hispanic background from his real father. He also studied at
Die Hochschule der Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Wien, Osterreich (Vienna, Austria) and has been active in the Latino communities in the USA. He speaks Spanish at home and Italian with his Italian friends.

He has a B.A. and M.Ed. (majors in Spanish, German, Music (Vocal/ Piano Performance); minors in French, Italian, and Interpreting/Translations ). He is fluent-native speaker fluency to teach all the above languages in addition to Tagalog and Cebuano (Visaya). He

In my professional life as a doctor's assistant and later CEO assistant I needed to communicate daily in the German language. I studied business for 3 years. Over the last 3 years I have taught numerous people German. Some only need a little guidance, others keep on coming back to master more fluent conversation.

I'm flexible with my time and willing to adapt to my students' needs.

I love all things German and my aim is to encourage my students to feel the same. I've been teaching German for 5 years. My students go from knowing no German to being able to hold conversations to eventually completing their grad studies in a German speaking country!

Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to introduce yourself and before you know it be a German whizz. I try to base my lessons around modern German pop culture typically using current events as inspiration. My lessons feature video links, audio, worksheets, textbooks, and more.
