Great teacher.

I am continuing to study cello with Jamie and I am much further along than I anticipated. I also study piano, so I am not a traditional beginner cello student. Jaime is able to fine tune my lessons to take this into account and build on it. He is very knowledgeable about proper technique as well as music theory. I would recommend him without reservation for all abilities and ages.
Jamie worked with me when I was trying to pick up cello after not playing since high school. He is extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. He's very good at identifying problems with technique and suggesting approaches to fix them, and fun to work with.

I work with all levels of students on a variety of dialects. Any dialect that you need to learn I can effectively coach you, whether it is for a specific role or a dialect that you simply want to learn or to improve on. I specialize in the most commonly used dialects for stage and film such as: Standard British, Cockney, Irish, American Southern, New York. I have taught Polish, German, French, Russian and Spanish in addition to those.

I worked with Meggie as a Stage Manager on The Basset Table by Susanna Centlivre. The play has a wide range of English dialects from high society to servants and commoners. Meggie worked with the actors in groups and individually to help them form the dialect along with their characters. Every actor got a demo recording to listen to to help as well. If actors were particularly struggling she would talk to them about it privately and work with them one on one. She's patient and wiling to work with people who put in the effort to learn.
Meggie is a talented and knowledgeable leader in all aspects of theater. She's a strong and creative presence to be around, and I've loved watching her direct. She's helped me grow in such a short period of time and her passion is contagious. She leads the way for women in the performing arts industry and shines an important light on issues facing them throughout the years and today. I highly recommend! :)
I was lucky to be an actor in a period play Meggie directed. Her expertise really helped give me the confidence I needed to shine in my role.
