I love words, the concepts behind grammar, the art of communication. As a journalist, I have enjoyed writing about dance and film, as well as writing proposals, and film festival programs, radio scripts, magazine articles, and interviews.

Hello prospective students! I have five years experience as a middle school English teacher. Why work with me? I push my students to do their best while still being patient and making a connection. I have been tutoring in subjects of English, math, social studies, and science for middle school and elementary school for about 10 years. In the summer, I offer one-on-one and group sessions for Catholic High School Entrance Exams. In this, I teach test-taking strategies and practice sample questions to strengthen the students' skills. I am technology proficient and therefore, utilize many resources in order to be the best teacher I can be. My schedule is flexible and I have transportation if needed. I make language learning fun and effective, using established techniques for effective and rapid language acquisition. I prefer to teach speaking and listening together with reading and writing, but some students prefer only to learn to speak, which is also fine. It can be faster to get up and running with conversations, but with less deep an understanding of the language.

As a native English speaker who lived in mainland China for over 8 years, I have the unique ability to explain pronunciation and other issues clearly from a foreigner's perspective. I can help you understand quickly and easily how to form the sounds we don't have in English, as well as visualize the tone systems that are characteristic of Mandarin Chinese.

My name is Dianerey, I'm a deaf person. I'm teaching AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE in any ages from Preschool to High school even adults too.

I'm used to be on call for teaching aide at Washington School for the Deaf for a year which I loved my job! I teaching varies ages at young children. I helped with them in subjects and storytelling.

I can teach you very fun and simply in basic sign languages such as family, foods, colors and more. I can teaching you how to spelling with your own name!

We can got together in games/ poem/ storytelling/ drama. It would be FUN!

Beginning in 2007, I studied American Sign Language (ASL) in college, taught at a middle school for the Deaf for three years, taught ASL to undergraduates at a DC university, and have worked as an ASL/English interpreter since 2012 in the DC area.
