I have taught English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in Germany, Greece, and Turkey, and English as a Second Language (ESL) in California. In Germany, where I lived and worked for many years, I too had to learn a second language as a beginner to the level where I could function and work in a new society. So I teach from a student's point of view, understanding and sensitive to both the practical and emotional challenges you face.
My background in English language training is extensive. I have a B.A. in English Literature, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification, along with ten years teaching experience in Europe and the Middle East. I also hold a MSc. in Biological Sciences. As a teacher, I recognize

I grew up in South Korea half of my life and I talk in Korean with my family and my Korean friends all the time. Learning a new language is very difficult, however, with my help, I can definitely get someone to a point where they can understand Korean without stressing out. I have been volunteering as a Korean language teacher in church for 4 years before moving to Los Angeles.
I am a professional flute player, composer, beatmaker, producer, recording engineer, music theory tutor, and a Korean language tutor. I am currently a semester away to graduate from Berklee College of Music. I am currently double majoring in Music Production&Engineering and Electronic Productio

I'm an engineer by profession, by passion and been working in this field for quite a long time. Nevertheless, I also like to teach languages and go to language exchange groups in different places to share my knowledge of languages.
The teaching experience that I have included:
- The social aspect of communication is very important, so I prefer to adjust to a specific style of learning of each person
- I prefer live, interesting discussion that brings result rather than just formal lessons.
- The most important aspect of learning language is having fun, so I believe this is the most important part. When it's dull it's really hard to learn something, so it must be engaging and interesting.
In other words, I'm an engineer who loves to teach people different things and it means that my definition of success is helping people become fluent in a language. My focus is the result itself.
I'm an engineer by profession (and degree) but was always enjoying teaching other people languages. I'm a native Russian speaker but been living in the USA for 10 years and fluent in English. I highly believe that education should be done in informative and a fun way, this is the only approach to

I took 8 years of Spanish classes and lived in Ecuador where I used Spanish on a daily basis.
My teaching philosophy is to help students engage in learning. I find that a personal connection to new information makes it more engaging and meaningful, and students remember it better too. It's also more fun.
That being said, if learning is more readily achieved for your student through other methods, we will do whatever works best. I cater to results, because my ultimate goal is the student's success.
I am a tutor who earned a music teaching degree, substitute taught, and didn't become a school teacher. I held professional tech retail jobs and am supplementing my life with my passion - education. Whatever subject or instrument I teach, I celebrate students' successes; and I enjoy helping lear
