Book NowHi! i now live near Chicago and have been teaching English since 2013. I started teaching in Europe and was there for nearly five years. I have a CELTA certification which I obtained from Cambridge University. I have taught in private language schools, private face to face and on Skype. I teach children to adults from beginners to advanced. My approach to teaching is practice practice practice!!! Let's talk and have a conversation and I will make note of mistakes and we will discuss them and repair them. I am able to facilitate speaking tasks using proper grammar while building vocabulary related to students needs. I have all the necessary materials including books, handouts and videos.

I lived in Manaus, Brazil for 2 years as a volunteer proselytizing missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a result of talking to people all day, every day, I attained full fluency and command of the Portuguese language. I further polished my abilities in the language by taking an advanced Portuguese grammar class and Brazilian history class (both taught exclusively in Portuguese) during my Bachelor's degree at Brigham Young University. I know the language intimately, and can provide the highest quality of instruction to students of the language.

I believe students learn English faster and more in-depth, when they are having fun.
I enjoy tailoring the exercises and activities to my student's interests and focus on improving their speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills.
There are many approaches and methods out there to teach English. I believe it's beneficial to introduce them all. Not only does this add variety but can help us discover an approach or method that really clicks with the way you learn.
The class is full-immerison, meaning from start to finish we communicate in English. This is the best way to learn English; even if you don't know any English, we will communicate only in English ( don't worry- just as a child learns a language, we will use photos, videos, music and other media to aid in learning. This will make learning English easy)
I am here for you. Whatever goals you have, we can accomplish them together.
