The classes in Italian cuisine are tailored to your interests and your skill level. I can teach you how to prepare a "quick win" dinner for all the family or to prepare "single size" amazing meals ready for all the week. I can teach how to make handmade pasta with semolina or with whole wheat. Have you ever tasted a terrific Tiramisu...with strawberries?
How I understand I can be a good Italian tutor,
Key word? Talk, watch, read, listen and talk again!
I am aware the Italian has one of the most complex grammars, but I also know that speaking and reading and watching Italian movies, soccer game or Television News makes automatic to learn the basic rules useful for a good conversation. We can use a really simple grammar book to support with the basic rules up to more advanced grammar books if we may need.
My tutoring approach is focus on student's weaknesses and strengths: use the seconds to correct the firsts. What it is important is to work on what you really like (movie, politics, receipts, actors, history, vacations, ...) and I promise it works. I already experienced this approach with a lot of students and friends who want to speak Italian and know Italy ...waiting for a great vacation "nel Bel Paese".
I try to be flexible with time and I offer makeup classes in case of 24 hours cancellation. I have an quite full equipped office at home but I am available to travel if it is more convenient for the students.
I hope see you soon.. A presto!!

I'm a life long musician. Piano is my main instrument but I play guitar, and voice. I have performed in choirs. And I have judged musicians here in America and in China. Recently I lived in China and taught music and English to students 6 years old to adults. The language of music and English open many doors the world over.
I have performed all over the world on piano and as a singer/songwriter with the guitar. I write music for Piano, voice and guitar and I'm always looking to learn that next instrument.

Although my bachelors is in Spanish Language and Literature I am studying TESOL at American University where I have completed 12 credits in language assessment, second language acquisition and linguistics. My classes are engaging and personalized. For my athlete students, I find articles and clips about their sport that we build language around. I do the same
Spanish students can expect to improve week to week in areas such as vocabulary, grammar, and constructive conversational skills.
I teach my students to understand and embrace the beauty of Latin culture which then creates a large appreciation for loving and learning the language. I graduated from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelors in Architecture, and a Minor in Theology (what does that have to do with music right?). I constantly motivate myself to teach piano and learn as much as I can which places me in strong position of talent, while my degree is not in Music, I challenge anyone to perform with as much passion as I have for music.
A few years ago, my choir was awarded a silver medal in a competition among choirs in the area.
As a well-experienced student and instructor, I have acquired several (nearly 50) piano books that I use to constantly refresh my skill set. I am happy to use and donate any book for prospective students, so that they may follow my footsteps into true piano playing.
Everyday, I listen to a different song and work hard to learn it on the piano and develop chords, melodies, or just various forms of accompaniment .
I also enjoy singing as much as possible, to keep my voice as well-maintained as my piano. When I sing and play together, it is an entirely different atmosphere that I create and know any student is capable achieving that as well.
I am happy that my family kept pushing me to play because I learned to maintain a positive attitude. Now I play with so much passion and fun, which very few teachers can do.

The words pasta, expressive, and romantic are often used to describe Italians. But do these words truly depict them? Below, native Italian and language teacher Nadia B. breaks down the 10 most common Italian stereotypes that are actually true...
