About Nicolas
Hello there!

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Miami, FL. I started my musical career at the age of 8, singing in chorus, playing the recorder, and shortly afterwards moving to the guitar, and the violin.

When I was 15, I was nominated for a James L. Knight Award in Music, and I performed as a violin soloist with the Miami Beach Symphony Orchestra, and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony playing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major. One of my most memorable experiences when I was a kid! In high school, I formed my own string quartet and we would perform all over the South Florida community especially at hospitals and for the elderly. At 16 years old, I was also given an internship with the New World Symphony, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, for about 2 years. During this time, I was able to take lesso
ns from master violinists such as Marc Thayer and Glen Cherry. During this time, I was given the opportunity to perform with the New World Symphony at 17 years old for pops concert conducted and performed by Chuck Mangione in El Doral, FL.

I later on accepted a scholarship for violin performance at the University of Miami for my Bachelor of Music, and earned my Master of Music from Florida State University. I also taught string orchestras for 10 years at Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center, South Florida Youth Symphony as conductor (and now composer!), and conductor of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony. I was appointed Assistant Conductor of the Alhambra Orchestra for two seasons under the guidance of my high school orchestra teacher, Mr. Reginald Nicholson (1947-2011). It was here where I was able to work on my compositions, orchestrations, and conduct a fine group of musicians.

I now live in sunny Los Angeles, in the Sherman Oaks area, and I'm loving the new change. I am eager to share my knowledge with new students on various subjects such as learning a string instrument to learning a different language. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your goals for learning!

LESSON DETAILS
I have been teaching music as an adult, certified teacher since I was in college, but have done teaching as early as 15 years old.

I will help you create a fantastic technical base so you will be able to play with ease as your skill level develops, all while keeping the lessons fun and engaging.

MUSIC STUDIO
Piano, Violin, Guitar, Music Stand, General Teaching Aids, Recording Equipment.

TRAVEL EQUIPMENT
I can provide a music stand and basic materials but the student is expected to have their own instruments and to buy the music I recommend. I can recommend various vendors/shops where you can buy the ideal instrument for your lessons.

EXPERTISE
I am classically-trained musician that also specializes in Tango performance, Latin/Jazz, Rock, and a variety of other styles. I believe that training in the classical aesthetic will create a firm, solid foundation to crossover into other areas listed above. With a good dose of technical exercises, scales, and a variety of repertoire, my students always turn out well-rounded, ready to tackle almost any kind of music they wish to learn.

Thank you for stopping by and let me know what you would like to learn!

Nick has been my nine-year old daughter's violin instructor for a little over a year. Not only has she made tremendous progress with her playing, she has had a great time during the lessons. Nick will challenge her when he feels she is ready, but will also slow down if necessary to review, to make sure she is using proper techniques and developing as a musician. My daughter is fortunate to have such a talented musician and composer as her violin teacher.

I know what makes a good musician and a good performer and I'm pleased to be able to share that with my students! MY STUDENTS WIN AUDITIONS! I taught in several of the States and in London. I am also a certified teacher in Missouri, Kansas and other States including England, Scotland and Wales. I hold a Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate from Ball State University, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Bridgeport. I have studied on fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival and University of London. While teaching in London I performed at many famous venues s

Right off the bat I could tell that my daughter will flourish with Dr. G. He is very encouraging while simultaneously effective at improving a weak nuance of her current skill set without making it feel like a negative critique. She is very excited to see what he can help her accomplish.

She's got a lot of experience and knows exactly how to help me find the right technique using various ways to explain, such as the physical and physiological side, as well as more imaginative and creative explanations that I could easily relate to. I enjoyed the lessons very much because I felt I was achieving something new every lesson. Will definitely take more lessons with Olga in the future!

Hi / Shalom / שלום

I have experience with teaching beginners, intermediate and very advanced Hebrew students. I was and am teaching mainly adults of any age from 16- to 90-year-olds.

During my lessons, I use different methods to teach new material, to practice it and to engage the student in conversations in Hebrew. Following each lesson a summary of the lesson is emailed to the students. The summary includes review, my recordings in Hebrew, links and more practice options.

One of the focuses of my Hebrew teaching career between 2014-2016 was developing a program for teaching to read in Hebrew. The result of these 2 years’ work is a series of 8 booklets “Learn to Read Hebrew in 1 to 8 Weeks!” –which will be available in Amazon on January 2017.

My brand name, “Ivrit By Orit”, includes Ivrit, which means Hebrew in Hebrew, and
my first name Orit, which means 'light' in Hebrew.
After you sign-up for my lessons, I will forward you my website and FaceBook links where you can learn more about me, the Hebrew language, and Israeli and Jewish culture..

Hi there! My name is Paul and I am a french native whose spent my whole between the US, Spain and France, where I still spend at part of my time. I've attended a french school all of my life in Madrid, Spain. I am considered what they call a "third cultured kid", meaning I don't feel I pertain to a specific culture in the world but rather I feel like citizen of the world. Open mindedness is by far one of my most sacred values and inclusiveness is the main practice I try to express to my students.

France was always a country of inclusion and immigration, and like the United States, it was build and grew because of those foreigners. I'll be delighted to show you what the values of my dearest country are in the most creative way, giving you a head start in the french culture and way of life. Additionally, I will give you extensive materi
al according to your needs, capacity and personal ambition in the subject you choose.

I've also participated in many informal teaching endeavors within my close entourage for the children of my parents close friends.

I look forward to meeting you and enticing you in the french flair, la vie en rose and many other french-like sensations embodied in the french motto from the French revolution: Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité. A bientôt camarades!

I am a native Japanese speaker and translator living in the United State. I have 2 years of experience to teach Japanese language to American high school students. During my college days, I assisted the Japanese class instructor and helped college students to read, write and speak Japanese. I tutored several students too. I enjoyed it very much.

I studied linguistics and one of the linguistics classes I took was Applied Linguistics, basically how to teach foreign languages. I chose Japanese and ended up with getting self-published with a Japanese grammar book.

I want my students to enjoy learning Japanese, because it is fun to learn a foreign language. I can teach any level and any age. Let me help you to speak real Japanese. Your life will be more colorful.
