If you dream of singing Broadway there's no end to the wonderful repertoire that we can develop! The music of Broadway encompasses a vast variety of singing styles, and requires a robust and flexible vocal sound AND a solid understanding of the proper vocal technique...for singing as well as speaking. And all that while playing the part of the particular character!! Easy!!!, or so we make it look!
We'll gain a thorough understanding of how the vocal apparatus actually works, and develop supportive breathing and athletic techniques that will release the full range of your voice and increase the beauty and flexibility of your tone production. And, since its Broadway, we'll do that for both the singing and speaking Voice.
Your range will dramatically increase, projection will magnify, you'll learn to protect and preserve your Natural innate voice, and set it free to express the emotions of the song.
Your confidence will soar as you refine your sounds and learn to apply them to ...
About Vanessa
Become the masterful Singer that you really ARE! Learn to bring out the natural beauty and power of your Voice, and to match your own unique personality and vocal qualities to complementing repertoire in order to show your voice and talents in their best light. We'll develop the repertoire that fit

From basic diatonic harmony to jazz chord scales, modal interchange, three tonic systems etc.
My approach to lessons revolves around the students musical preferences. I like to show how theory applies to the things you listen to everyday, and show you how music is a language.

Why TakeLessons?
Hear From TakeLessons Students
Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

As I write this I've just finished my first lesson.
David is a nice guy and easy to commune with, giving me starting advice and setting forth a goal for my next lesson that is simple and practical for my goal.
He gave me simple advice about getting into character to chew on for my 2nd session."

Second of all, when we did our first session, I had to deal with a rough technical patch of trying g to join in for the session. He had no problem helping me with this technical glitch rather than allowing TakeLessons (who I was unable to reach because of matainace issues), to handle it. He helped 5he TakeLessons team. A plus Randy! Though I had to finally use another device to finally join the session, Randy was still willing to have patience and help me with the tech problem.
Lastly, Randy brought a warm feeling to the session and yet sincere. He made me feel welcomed, which opened me up more during this session. This helped because I am uncomfortable with improv but want to get better. He understood this and gave a real honest approach. Also, he informed me that we were going to get a gist of my performance level and work from there. Furthermore, we were going to ease our way into improvement. This gave me alot more balance than other improv classes. He is even willing to give me a little homework that I can practice in prep for next week.
Randy is very encouraging and I enjoyed our first session. I'm exited for next week!"
