Acting

I am a professional actor with more than 15 years of experience in film, televison and theater. I earned my BFA in Acting from the Academy of Art University in 2013 while simultaneously completing the two and a half year training program at The Meisner Technique Studio. Since then, I have continued to study acting at places like Julliard Ext., PAA in LA and more. 

My focus as a teacher centers around the student and making great work that's enjoyable. I use my wide range of experience and education to help build a craft that is specific to each actor, made up of exactly what they need to know to succeed and reach the highest standards of acting. I teach and coach actors of all ages and experience levels and I am also passionate about helping my students understand/navigate the industry and find representation. I have been teaching for a few years now and it has become one of my greatest passions.

Mark is a born actor and artist. The way he has translated his years of training and performance experience into the teaching others (especially how to tap into their inherent gifts, truths, and self-trust as thespians) is nothing short of exciting, comforting, and wholly inspiring. He gets to know you, guides you through fun exercises to get out of your head and into your heart, holds you to your own standard of excellence, knows how to make the audition process thrilling and relaxing, and is an amazing presence and soul when getting know him on a personal level. Mark is an incredible teacher- he is knowledgeable, professional and very invested in his students journey. He has attended two different acting schools and is truly a scholar of the craft. It is obvious that he spends a lot of time outside of class preparing for our lessons because he always arrives with a very thoughtful plan that has been tailored just for me. Not only is he a great teacher of how to actually act, he has worked for many years in Hollywood and has great advice on the path you should take to achieve your goals. I am so grateful for my lessons with Mark, and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Mark is not only a wonderful acting teacher, he is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Both of my children are taking lessons and they always enjoy class. Mark spends a lot of time planning material for each student and this is on top of being a working actor himself. My children are both quiet and shy kids and Mark immediately made them comfortable and I was shocked to hear them projecting their voices with confidence during their lessons. Marks communication is fantastic and I never wait long before he responds to an email. I have not, and probably will not, ever recommend someone so highly ever again. Both of my children recently had auditions for the fall plays at their schools. Mark gave them a boost of confidence and tips to help with the auditions and they are both a part of their fall plays!
