I have a BA in services to the Deaf with a minor in Interpreting. I currently teach ASL for the local technology center. In my classes I teach not only the signs but also add culture. I will share personal stories and things that happened when I was learning, that if someone had told me different I would not have offended people. My name is Dianerey, I'm a deaf person. I'm teaching AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE in any ages from Preschool to High school even adults too.

I'm used to be on call for teaching aide at Washington School for the Deaf for a year which I loved my job! I teaching varies ages at young children. I helped with them in subjects and storytelling.

I can teach you very fun and simply in basic sign languages such as family, foods, colors and more. I can teaching you how to spelling with your own name!

We can got together in games/ poem/ storytelling/ drama. It would be FUN!

I've been teaching American Sign Language for 5 years, and signing myself for 18 years, and my students have gone on to develop a love for ASL, Deaf people, and Deaf culture. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to carry on a simple conversation in the language, and as time goes on you'll be able to feel totally at ease with Deaf people. I have great online tools you can use for free to practice between lessons, and I'm flexible with any other resources we use. I can't wait to meet you!

I learned ASL from the Deaf Community over 35 years ago so, I understand the cultural aspects of the language in addition to its linguistics. I received my AAS through an interpreter training program in 2010. Since 1998, I have been both an Educational and a Medical Interpreter through various agencies in my area. I am state certified and hold EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) credentials as well.
