I have been communicating using American Sign Language for over 15 years. I have a bachelor's degree in American Sign Language interpreting. I have been an interpreter for 11 years and I am nationally certified through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be signing in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of grammar, vocabulary, Deaf Culture, and more. Let's get started!

About Tanya H.

I have been a professional American Sign Language interpreter for over 12 years. I graduated from MacMurray College with a Bachelors of ASL Interpreting and from Walden University with both a Master's degree in both Business Administration and Education.

American Sign Language students can expect to gain the foundational skills for conversation. Students will also learn the history and culture surrounding the Deaf Community.

I teach students of all different ages and experience levels. I can teach American Sign Language students the grammar and vocabulary necessary for communicating in American Sign Language.

As a nationally certified ASL interpreter, I am on the state registry of supreme court interpreters and have worked as the Director of a Community Center for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing. I have taught ASL privately for 12 years and professionally for 6 years.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you to reach your goals.
