All aspects of Tai Chi are taught. The hows and whys of each movement... how and why each movement benefits your health ...how to integrate Tai Chi with meditation to improve mindfulness, expand awareness, and increase mind-body connections ...how to perform the martial applications of each movement and how this circles back into increasing the health and longevity benefits of Tai Chi.

I teach a mix of students. Some are learning to enhance their flow in other movement arts, or become more mindful, healthy, and relaxed. Some are recovering from injuries and surgeries and using Tai Chi to regain strength, balance, and range of motion. Others are combatting chronic illness and are using Tai Chi to increase their energy levels, create a more positive outlook, increase their daily activities, improve their coordination and sense of overall wellbeing.

About Bill

I am patient, sensitive and intuitive. I teach well beyond what the choreographed movements look like. I teach how they are done in a way that maximizes their health, strength and martial benefits. I teach what makes the movements Tai Chi, so that you can incorporate the internal principles into yo

Steve is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered, and he is far and away the best martial arts instructor I have ever had. Nothing can prepare you for the knowledge that Steve has accumulated. His methods are unorthodox, the focus of his classes are internal and related to expanding awareness and increasing body synergies within and with the surrounding environment. If you follow his methods, you will advance beyond your wildest imagination and become a better, more balanced human being in the process. He will work with you at whatever pace you desire, he is incredibly humble and he makes himself available to you well beyond the strictly class scheduled format. He has a literal treasure trove of research materials to help you along in your particular practice once he understands your learning objectives. I can not recommend a teacher any higher, and am honored to be his student.

Steve really tailored the class to my needs. He throws in wit, humor and insight in his lessons. The fitness regimen he taught me is something that I can do everyday with relatively modest effort and time commitment. I am already seeing the benefits of practicing what he has taught me. I highly recommend his classes.

Steve contacted me before my first lesson to discuss what I expected from the session. I had only scheduled one lesson and wanted to try it out for myself and because I am enrolled in a graduate study program; I needed to try an alternative healing session so I could complete an assignment. I loved that Steve explained the movements and how they affected the internal body, mind, and spirit. He is a wealth of information and I plan on continuing to learn from him.

"I love that Master Ron says that my clunky awkward Tai Chi isn't wrong - its just my Tai Chi. And my Tai Chi in 3 months may be better or worse than my Tai Chi today - but it's still my Tai Chi."

"Master Teacher Ron Pfeiffer is a true find if you are looking for exceptionally high-quality of instruction. His depth of knowledge and experience in martial arts makes him a valuable tai chi instructor as he is able to elucidate the finer points of the forms and make your tai chi practical, as well.
His style of teaching translates well to the online medium. He keeps a sharp eye on even minute mistakes while remaining positive and encouraging, breaks down the movements, and is attentive to detail . He also has a sense of humor, which is always a welcome characteristic in a teacher.
Since he is very experienced, he can assess his students very well and knows just what level of instruction to deliver, depending on your needs.
I am enriched and feel I'm moving to a new level after every class with Ron. Very grateful for his instruction and highly recommend!"

"I have been taking lessons from Ron Pfieffer for five years. I began lessons while recuperating from back surgery. Having just retired I knew I had to do something to keep active. I found his beginning lesson easy and with Ron's method of teaching engaging, positive and very encouraging. I knew by the 2nd week it was a good decision and knew Tai Chi was going to be the answer for me. I has greatly increased my flexibility and balance. Ron's depth of knowledge in Tai Chi include not only Sun but Yang Chen and Qi Gong . I look forward to studying with him for a long time to come. He works well with all ages of students and has a vast knowledge of martial arts which includes a 8th degree black belt in Kempo Karate. Ron is an outstanding instructor and great communicator."

"I have taken many lessons with Liam for a year and a half now. He is an instructor who cares about the well being and overall health of his students. He is knowledgeable and is always careful to have students work within their limits. He taught me about 'wu wei,' or 'effortless effort,' a Chinese philosophy about accomplishing things without straining yourself. I always get something out of his classes."

"I’ve been training with Master Ron for several months. As a 60 year old physician I’ve had many professors and mentors who have shaped my life. Ron has a spot right up there with the best of them. Great instructors are not just great communicators - it’s a given that they can explain what you need to know. What makes Ron different is he is a great listener - even better he listens with not just his ears but his eyes and his gut. He can tell when you are struggling even if you don’t realize it and gently guides you past it. He rejoices in your victories no matter how small and encourages you in your battles with certain moves. Although he is very gifted he is very humble. He is very Zen. He believes in living in the moment with what you are capable of now but always wants you to strive to improve. If you are looking for an instructor you can’t do better than Master Ron."
