By nature, Im apart of the Deaf/HH community and look to grow in advocating. I would like to reach hearing parents with deaf children or even hearing children with deaf parents by helping them advance in using their sign language skills proficiently.
I’m also interested in working with students whom are interested in ASL as a second language or even a hobby. Taking ASL in high school and need tutoring? I can assist in learning the visual and gestural communication of the signing.

"Carla is great! She is very patient and she knows everything there is to know in ASL. She goes at your pace whether you're a slow learner or a fast learner. She has lessons planned out depending on if you're a beginner or more advanced. For example, she would teach colors or animals and then we would have a conversation in ASL about what we just learned and she would help me on any words I don't remember. She doesn't mind repeating herself either if she needs to. She is definitely the teacher/tutor you want!"
