I’m just a beginner. I appreciate how patient and merciful Patrick as I try to work my way past mistakes and he’s encouraging. He explains things clearly and thanks to his lessons and guidance I’m already making a little progress.

Capable, courteous, and very well versed in his field. Patrick's flexible schedule made it possible for us to cram for an upcoming test, on short notice.
Conveniently, he's preparing to teach a university cpurse on the same subject matter.

I have been playing and writing music for the past 9 years, and in that time have experimented with scoring for dances, musicals, and other performing arts mediums. Film scoring is a challenging but rewarding endeavor, and can make the difference between a good film and a breathtaking one.

We will work on creating a large arsenal of sound palettes that you will use to create and color various scenes. I'll assist you in how to breakdown a story into parts in order to develop themes, and repeating motifs that will create familiarity for the audience. In addition, we will study and analyze the music from some of your favorite films and by your favorite composers in order to understand how to weave music in and out of a film.

I would highly recommend Jonathan as a music teacher. Jonathan is absolutely passionate about music, which is evident by his enthusiastic and energetic teaching techniques. He is very patient with my five year old and encourages her to get her very best effort. Jonathan customizes the music and lessons for my daughter’s skill level while at the same time provides challenges to keep the learning process interesting. In a short period of time, my daughter's keyboard playing abilities have dramatically increased. I am very grateful to Jonathan for making learning fun for my daughter, who always looks forward to her lessons!

Learn good breath control and resonance to strengthen your speaking voice using vocal warm-ups, posture and speaking exercises.
We will look at your speaking voice in terms of pitch, timbre, volume, pacing, register and prosody. Using a talk that you are practicing, readings or improvising real life situations, you will have lots of practice.
I recommend adults take from 45 minutes to 1 hour lessons weekly for skill building. The price of lessons DECREASES by 10% after each 5 lesson purchased for the first 15 lessons.

My daughter has learned so much with Julia in the past few weeks. It's been a true pleasure to witness the progress. They have worked on sight reading, tone, physical posture, and many other aspects of singing and sound production. Julia is a very caring and supportive instructor. She is full of enthusiasm and humor, and this shows in her choice of singing materials. We look forward to having more lessons with her!

"Carissa always gives me feedback in a very encouraging way. Once I go over a monologue or a script once, she'll talk about some of the characteristics that I might be able to adopt in order to be more convincing, but she'll also tell me which parts she liked, which parts I was hitting on, but didn't quite get, and anything else. She's super understanding, and she'll talk me through any parts that I was having trouble with extensively until she feels that I understand and am comfortable with the material and the directions. 1000 stars all the way!"
