My many years of experience within the academic, as well as the creative, world of English have given me many skills and techniques that make me an adept tutor. I am well familiar with the rules and intricacies of grammar and composition. I have read many different novels, short stories, and poems that are commonly discussed within classrooms, and I am willing to read new pieces of literature in order to provide my students with the best, most comprehensive lessons I can offer. I enjoy getting to know my students in order to find pieces of literature (as well as songs, TV shows, and movies) that will most interest them. Over the years, I have written hundreds of pages of detailed analysis and I have developed an efficient system for essay writing that has helped me write multiple A-worthy papers. - I will not provide any materials
- A majority of study/work will take place outside of class time
- If you do not practice, outside of our session you will not see the best improvements
- you must bring all your books to each class as well as any assignments for correction.
- Lessons are light and fun if the work is done in a timely fashion
- You will be given an appropriate level of work for your proficiency

Policy:
- If you wish to make a cancellation, please allow for a 24+hour window of anticipation; if the cancellation comes with less than
24-hours of anticipation the student will forfeit the right to any rescheduling of that lesson,
and will be charged the full price of the lesson

In 2015 I worked with a non-profit organization in Philadelphia teaching English to immigrants and refugees. Recently, I began teaching English to Chinese-Immigrants in the United Kingdom and decided to take my skills to TakeLessons. Since American English is my first language and I currently live in the United Kingdom, I have a firm grasp on both American and British English grammar and vocabulary. Teaching languages has always been a strong passion of mine and I happy to extend my opportunities to teach. My lessons are designed based on your personal goals for learning English. I can teach you grammar, vocabulary, assist you with speaking and reading, and help you learn both American and British culture.
