About Sara

Hi! I’m Sara, a working actor with over 5+ years of experience in film, commercial, theatre, and voice-over work. I've received my B.A. in Theatre Arts from Earlham College and have been working professionally in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.

I've been teaching private lessons since 2014 and have loved helping my students with big network auditions for tv and voice over, getting ready for a school play, and taking the next step in their professional career.

I love setting goals with my students and no goal is too small or too big. Whether you just want to dip your toes into acting or to go after a big agent in L.A. I'd love to help you reach that and I look forward to working with you! I currently only teach online because I am often on the go - but I will always find time for you!

About Marcel

I work as a tutor and mentor in many of those fields for years. It was and is a side business, but I always enjoyed teaching.
I am looking forward to move on with you and / or your kids.
Have a great day,
Marcel

Update 02/10/15: Takelessons is a great way to teach and a fantastic and easy way to learn for students. I currently have 3 students per week, with several hours. I really enjoy it, either online via Skype or Facetime or Live at the students place. Hit me up and let's move something together.

I learned a lot from Marcel and liked his vision of how to redo the garden. The original garden was cluttered with overlapping plants and we discussed how to improve it. He pulled out his iPad and made several garden sketches that were helpful. The original garden was cluttered with overlapping plants and we decided to remove several of them and re-"orchestrate" the remaining ones. (We only bought new plants if they were needed to realize the new garden vision.) He is also a very hard worker, helping me (physically) transplant and add plants as required. For example, we transplanted a 100+ (?) pound Sago palm across the front yard. I would never have done that on my own (too heavy for me) but together we did it! Highly recommended. Bill

Excellent teacher. We took a 20'x2' section of "dirt" in the back, redid the soil, transplanted a rose in that section, added two other new roses and a bunch of ground cover. Looks great! Recommended.

I did not actually take any lessons with him, but his schedule did not reflect what showed as available in Takelessons. He had a very bad attitude and would not actually schedule the lesson after several exchanges.

About Hunter

From the hit TV comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend to drama at The Tony Award winning Steppenwolf Theater, my 20 year acting career has taught me many lessons to share. As a working writer/director this has only grown.

I love teaching. There are few things as rewarding as being a part of a students development and their personal victories.
Many of my students have achieved notable representation and consistently work. Other students are simply pursuing acting as a passion or a tool to gain confidence. Whether it's audition prep or personal development, if you bring the drive, I promise to get you to your goals ... oh, and we'll have a lot of fun on the way. After all, it's called a "play" for a reason.

Greetings! My name is Ethan Elseth and I have been working as a professional musician, composer/arranger, and teacher for the past 5 years. I tour nationally and internationally as lead guitarist with Minneapolis's very own Har Mar Superstar and am an active composer/arranger specializing in music for media, film, and anything orchestral. I love passing down my knowledge and sharing my experiences with the eager student and seeing the "lightbulb going off" expression on my student's faces when somet

hing "clicks"!

Fourth lesson in with Ethan and absolutely love it! I was recommended by a friend to try him out and don't regret it one bit! I wanted to learn more about music theory and how I can pair it effectively with my guitar playing and composing.

Ethan's personality and teaching approach has made the last 3 months of learning guitar very enjoyable and inspiring! His playing and compositions amazed me from the very first lesson. His teaching environment is very beautiful and professional (he lives in an artist loft) I've recommended him to friends who've started taking lessons with him as well! :)

Modesto L.

Bgcheck Background Checked

About Modesto

I’m a film, television, theater and radio actor and producer with a history of 25 years of uninterrupted work in Puerto Rico, the United States, Spain and Colombia. I began working professionally as a teenager and continued on to the Drama Department of the University of Puerto Rico, graduating with honors. I studied classical theater, physical theater and dance, and I’m fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French. I lived in New York City for 8 years, working with The Public Theater and Circle in the Square. Welcomed by the Latino theater circuit of the city, I received several recognitions by HOLA Awards, ACE and ATI. I also hold a certificate in Arts Administration from NYU’s School of Continuing Studies.

My commitment to the Puerto Rican film industry has led me to work in more than thirty films in the island. Some include: An

imal, alongside Oscar-nominated actor Terrence Howard; Back in the Day, as acting coach for actor/rapper Ja Rule; Sol de Medianoche; El chata; Angélica; and Fistful of Dirt, the first Puerto Rican film invited to the Telluride Film Festival.

I’ve had the opportunity to play important roles of historical figures, such as composer Rafael Hernández and the legendary baseball player Roberto Clemente, a role I successfully reprised in the short film 3,000. Other theater credits include: Godspell, Hamlet, Medea and Infinito enquanto dure.

One of my most important roles was my interpretation of Pedro Knight (Celia Cruz’ husband) in the hit Off-Broadway play Celia: The Life and Music of Celia Cruz; which ran for over a year and traveled to cities such as Miami and Tenerife in the Canary Islands. I reprised Pedro Knight, from his early years this time, in the TV series Celia, produced by Fox Telecolombia and Telemundo, released in 2015. Celia has enjoyed great international success, and can currently be streamed on Netflix.

Likewise, one of my most-awarded performances is in La esclava blanca, the top-rated telenovela for Caracol TV, Colombia (2016). La esclava blanca has been sold to 28 countries, including Poland, the United States, South Africa, Panama and Puerto Rico. Netflix has also acquired streaming rights.

My latest project is the biographical television series based on the life of reggaeton singer Nicky Jam, El Ganador, produced by Telemundo and Netflix.

My acting workshops has been sold out everytime and students have started to work steadily after classes.
