Like you have heard, Film & TV acting is far from the same as its sibling, Theater acting, and should be taught differently. I'm an experienced Theater and Film acting coach of 8 years, and I have experienced the difference of the stage and screen. Thus, I structure my lessons, so students learn what they want and need to learn, while also building a strong foundation of the serious acting skills they will need.

Come on; you have been acting since you were a child and trying to lie to your parents, let's put those skills to use!

About Christopher

So, I first became interested in acting at age 2 when I learned how to lie, like all kids do. However, my love for it started when I was 9 after I was given a camera for Christmas. My early attempts at films were mostly amateurish and spontaneous...yeah... But in late 2009, however, I started work

Shelley is fantastic. She made me feel at ease right away, even though I have no prior singing experience and I was incredibly nervous. As early as my second lesson, I could already hear a difference in my voice when I listened back to the recording of our session! She really knows what she's doing and it shows. I highly recommend Shelley. In addition to being a great music teacher - which she is - she's also so pleasant to work with! She's fast to respond, very accommodating with her schedule, friendly and easygoing, and professional. I started out thinking I'd just take a few weeks' worth of lessons to get out of my comfort zone. Over a year later, I'm still here, and looking forward to every week.

Bethany is extremely nice and fun. She seems extremely knowledgeable, having a ton of experience teaching. My first lesson was a good amount of information, but not overwhelming. It is a true joy to have a teacher that is incredibly passionate about music and teaching others!!! I highly recommend Bethany for anyone looking to start playing piano.

I needed a voice coach to help me with the mechanics of singing. Bethany gave me advice on proper breathing, warm ups and vocal exercises, dietary do's and don'ts, etc. Her knowledge and experience helped me tremendously. I highly recommend Bethany.

"Being trained by Miss Luckie definitely pushed me to a lot of limits that I hadn’t previously been pushed to. I was instructed very well; there was patience, positive feedback, and discipline involved. When preparing for auditions, I was extremely nervous, however, with the help of Miss Luckie, I learned to be confident and dance with much enthusiasm. She was there through every step of the way. I’m forever grateful for her because not only was she a coach, she was a mentor. It’s definitely an experience, being under her leadership and mentorship, worth having."

"There is one word to describe Amelia and her work as a teacher and that is; fantastic. I am now a film director and work with a lot of actors. I've been lucky to have great experiences with actors because of what Amelia has taught me about acting, and understanding how actors prepare a project. What a wonderful way to start out learning the craft of filmmaking and acting other than with a teacher who will be go the extra mile to help and fight for her students."
