Learn good breath control and resonance to strengthen your speaking voice using vocal warm-ups, posture and speaking exercises.
We will look at your speaking voice in terms of pitch, timbre, volume, pacing, register and prosody. Using a talk that you are practicing, readings or improvising real life situations, you will have lots of practice.
I recommend adults take from 45 minutes to 1 hour lessons weekly for skill building. The price of lessons DECREASES by 10% after each 5 lesson purchased for the first 15 lessons.

My daughter has learned so much with Julia in the past few weeks. It's been a true pleasure to witness the progress. They have worked on sight reading, tone, physical posture, and many other aspects of singing and sound production. Julia is a very caring and supportive instructor. She is full of enthusiasm and humor, and this shows in her choice of singing materials. We look forward to having more lessons with her!

My daughter started a series of lessons with Kristen in preparation of her high school play audition. It was very clear that Kristen is extremely knowledgeable of all technical aspects of singing & able to clearly communicate. My daughter really enjoyed her initial lesson w/ Kristen & is confident that she will be well prepared for her school’s play auditions.

I recently fell in love with dancing, but before that I had little to no experience, so I know what it is like to be a beginner, and to struggle. However, through the blessing of many excellent teachers and mentors, I have progressed rapidly and now have some considerable skill in dancing, so I am able to help people learn and grow at their own rate. I have much experience teaching other subjects (piano, physics, chemistry, and religion), so I know how to teach and how to give constructive advice.

About Jonathan

Hey there! My name's Jonny. I am currently a student at BYU, studying Physics-Astronomy and minoring in ballroom dance. I've grown up with music and love all aspects of it! I love singing, dancing, playing the piano and a few other instruments. I also have a love of languages, reading, videogames,

I have been working professionally in the industry from a very young age, and as a current working actor, I know what is happening in the audition rooms, and how to help guide & teach young actors so they can grow and be confident. Not only have I taught for over 5+ years, but I have performed with actors of varying ages, which has helped me to really connect and make sure I can help students find age appropriate material that they can identify with & enjoy working on while they navigate what it means to be an actor.

About Chelsea

I have been performing professionally for over 30 years and have appeared regionally in nearly 200 productions. For the past 25 years, I served as Artistic Director at the nation's second-oldest dinner theatre, Chaffin's Barn in Nashville, Tennessee.

I have been teaching acting for 20 years. I have a keen sense of comedy, with skills in improvisation, scene study, college audition prep, "selling" a song, monologue workshops, and intro to acting. I help actors to "get out of their heads", to trust and hone their instincts and feel confident when auditioning.

I am a laid back instructor creating a relaxed, safe, and fun environment in which to learn and grow. I believe acting and singing should moments of sheer joy!
