I've been teaching English for 7 years and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of the American culture, study abroad, and more! Within the first few lessons, you'll start speaking simple sentences and as time goes on, you'll be able to conjugate like a pro!
I love teaching, I can teach you at where you at and take you where you need to be. I only need a student with the desire to learn and to practice.
I like to help students realize they have the intelligence and ability to solve the problems on their own, they just need the right direction. Nothing is too difficult once we understand how to do it!
I have taught English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in Germany, Greece, and Turkey, and English as a Second Language (ESL) in California. In Germany, where I lived and worked for many years, I too had to learn a second language as a beginner to the level where I could function and work in a new society. So I teach from a student's point of view, understanding and sensitive to both the practical and emotional challenges you face.
My background in English language training is extensive. I have a B.A. in English Literature, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification, along with ten years teaching experience in Europe and the Middle East. I also hold a MSc. in Biological Sciences.
As a teacher, I recognize that all students have a predominant learning style, so I always work with each person as an individual, tailoring our lessons to discover and promote their innate abilities and interests.
My area of special expertise is writing, I have published papers in academic journals, newspapers and popular magazines, as well as a novel. I can help anyone master the skill of expressing themselves effectively. I love grammar and can make it fun and easy to learn.
These are areas of language training in which I excel: • Grammar • Reading Litera
cy (for both native speakers and ESL learners) • Business and Vocational English • Creative and Expository Writing • English Conversation • Exam Preparation (TOEFL, IELTS, MCAT) • Editing and Proofreading

I am a full time online English Teacher, and a previous daycare owner for 10+years. I have tutored many ESL students. Over a period of time, and within the first few lessons, my students English, speaking abilities have improved a great deal. My teaching philosophy, is that learning requires more than just educating someone or acquiring new knowledge. In my opinion, I feel, that it is more so rather, are entire inner and outer circle of well being; which is why my approach to teaching, is from an aural, visual and curiosity perspective. Clay Patrick Bedford, once said: “You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives” My teaching techniques are always challenging. However, very exciting, interesting, with a blast of fun and lots of activities; very suitable and appropriate for any level of ESL. I always assess, recognize strengths, weaknesses, and structure my lessons ...

I am a full time online English Teacher, and a previous daycare owner for 10+years. I have tutored many of preschool and elementary students, with math, reading, phonics, writing etc for years and my students academic grades have improved tremendously; within the first few lessons. My teaching philosophy, is that learning requires more than just educating someone or acquiring new knowledge. In my opinion, I feel, that it is more so rather, are entire inner and outer circle of well being; which is why my approach to teaching is from an aural, visual and curiosity perspective. Clay Patrick Bedford, once said: “You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives” My teaching techniques are always challenging. However, very exciting, interesting, with a blast of fun and lots of activities; very suitable and appropriate for your child's grade level. I always assess, recognize strengths, weaknesses, and structure my lessons accordingly. This helps me to monitor the students’ progress and provided insight to their expectations. Whenever my students learn something new, I stress how much they have achieved so far, rather than pointing out how much more they need to learn. During my teaching experience I have observed that a confident learner progresses more quickly than a discouraged one. My number one goal, is your child's success. Let's aim for the stars!

When English is not your first language, you want to make sure your written and spoken skills surpass those of even native speakers. I would like to help students starting their journey into the English speaking world.
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, English is my second language, and I love to dance.
I'm not great at "selling" myself as to why you should choose me to be your instructor. I struggled while in school, but I managed to get through. Now, when I educate patients, colleagues, or even friends, I have found ways to make tough subjects easy to understand. We sometimes get caught up in "sounding smart" and don't know if the person receiving the information is understanding. If you are not able to understand a topic in easier layman's terms, no matter how well you memorize it, it won't stick for long.
I hope to be able to assist students who may be struggling with ESL and anatomy find effective studying strategies to grasp and understand the material presented.
