Tom has been teaching private lessons since 2006 and is currently available to teach lessons online. Foremost, Tom provides expertise, experience, and encouragement when he received his English Literature from Boston University, Arizona State University and the University of Phoenix in Arizona.
Tom's style is candid and are scheduled to best fit to the student's schedule when possible.
Its imperative that the student understands phonics as well as the seven parts of speech, i.e., nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.
Currently, Tom works at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels as an adult education instructor providing English instruction to classes or individual students.
As an ESL teacher, developing curriculum for his students, he tak
es an overall approach to English study that focuses on a specific aspect of language use, e.g., life skills, literacy, or vocational and workplace English competencies. Both approaches involve teaching his students basic English skills, such as listening, reading, writing and speaking.
- Pronunciation techniques - Quizzes, textbooks, videos and computer lessons - Basic communication with real-life interactions
Using language use in different situations, such as shopping, schooling, job hunting or working with English-speaking co workers.
He places awareness on the students' culture and recognition of cultural differences which might affect a student's ability to acclimate to an English-speaking environment.

The Pedagogical Foundations Of EnglishCentral
By David Deubelbeiss
EnglishCentral is a company that takes pride in having experienced teachers on staff and designing a product that will help students learn and acquire English, particularly for international communication.
Too often technology is designed without the control or voice of educators. Technology for technology's sake. We have tried to avoid this error and build an e-learning platform that puts pedagogy and learning first.
Here are the key aspects of English Central's pedagogy:
We live in a visual and digital world. Students consume enormous amounts of video content and video has become the new textbook. EnglishCentral harnesses this built in, intrinsic level of motivation - why not learn English while viewing videos you love? EnglishCentral publishes 30 new video lessons per week and its vast library of video lessons and courses offers every student the chance to study what they want and listen to messages they want to hear.
2. Comprehensible Input
Not only do students need to listen to messages they want to hear - these messages must be level appropriate (Krashen, 2001). Each EnglishCentral video lesson or course plus our vocabulary is leveled and can be assigned to students based on their level of English. This provides appropriate practice maximizing language acquisition.
3. Precise, Timely Feedback
EnglishCentral provides instant feedback to students. Students begin to "notice the gap" (Schmidt, 1990) and begin to self-correct as they compare their speech to the original. Tools are provided so students can "dig down" and understand the language and get the answers they need immediately. EnglishCentral works to promote learner autonomy.
4. Lowered Affective Filter
Many students go through a substantial "silent period" (Krashen, 1985). Others need the time and space given through self-study before they are ready to excel in the very socially demanding classroom. EnglishCentral provides a safe, low anxiety environment where learners can proceed at their own pace and practice speaking in a non-threatening place. Teachers are often amazed how the quiet students in their class "bloom" on EnglishCentral.
5. An Oral Language Focus
The 21st century workplace and global nature of communication demands that students have strong speaking skills. The importance of written communication is receding. EnglishCentral's proprietary speech recognition system IntelliSpeech™ trains students to produce, clear, intelligible speech for effective communication across cultures and borders.
6. Blended Learning
The future of education lies in blended learning (Arne Duncan, 2014). EnglishCentral partners with schools and teachers offering a unique blended learning model and platform. Courses and video lessons can perfectly compliment what students learn in class, providing students with extra practice matching the class curriculum. Our free LMS lets teachers extend the curriculum and track student achievement.
7. Structured Learning
Our simple Watch | Learn | Speak methodology provides low cognitive overload and an easy to follow learning pathway. Courses and video lessons are leveled and vocabulary is presented with spaced-time repetition. EnglishCentral monitors every word or expression students study and provides a simple interface where students can use the feedback to improve their pronunciation and build their vocabulary.
Students are highly engaged by the gaming dynamics of EnglishCentral. Students compete for XPs (Experience Points) and ranking through their study. However, we don't go overboard and aim to keep the focus on the learning, not the gaming.
9. Ambiguity Tolerance
Language is a vast and unpredictable space. Successful language learners are risk takers. Critical to being a risk taker is having a strong ability to not be stressed out by what you don't understand (Brown, 2007). EnglishCentral provides authentic content that challenges students to focus on the general meaning and gist and strengthen their level of ambiguity tolerance.
There are three simple things you need to know about my tutoring program. 1. No matter what your reasons for learning a foreign language are, ultimately it's a part of your SELF DEVELOPMENT. Treat it as such. 2. I don't believe in "good or bad with languages" stereotype. I have taught for many years and learnt that everyone is "language talented" when they actually want to speak a new language. And if you are one of them I garantie that my method will work for you. 3. My program might appear quite different from the ones you have tried or seen before and goes beyond simple grammar and vocabulary presentation. Also prepare to be challenged at every step of the way and the further you will get the more fun and exciting it will be.

There are three simple things you need to know about my tutoring program. 1. Learning a foreign language is a part of your SELF DEVELOPMENT. Treat it as such. 2. I don't believe in "good or bad with languages" stereotype. If you really want to speak a new language I guarantee that my method will work for you. 3. All materials are created by me and edited by a group of talented language teachers and linguists. They are free and very useful no matter where, when and how you study Russian or French.
For over 7 years of professional experience as Russian/French/ESL teacher, I have worked with all types of students with different learning styles and various goals: taught within U.S. public education institutions, provided private classes for children and adults, developed and i
mplemented individualized syllabus for diplomats, high rank executives at multinational companies, employees of U.S. Embassy and Department of State.
Thanks to all my students, current and former, I am now confident that every individual, willing to learn one of the languages I teach, without a doubt, has everything it takes to succeed when the right approach is applied.
It is one on one program, thouroughtly personalized and organized according to your interests (general and professional), schedule, final goals, learning style and many other important elements to be taken into account.
Each session is 50 minutes.
Every session is prepared to reach a particular goal and structured in the way to have a maximum profit from "teacher - student" part of learning. Supporting materials are sent after each session: grammar notes, retention exercises, homework assignments, audio and video files as phonetic exercises and listening practice. The content of these materials is permanently tested and modified in order to achieve the best way to engage each individual student's language acquisition mechanisms.
Teacher's support 24/7.
Extra curricula content: idiomatic language components, cultural studies (traditions, history, literature, cinema and language related etymology), recommendations for independent language practice.
The way I see it, with each new student - there is a new process in my head that starts and constantly creates and improves techniques, ideas, method components, teaching style e.t.c for getting this particular student to do the best he or she can.

I am a certified English teacher through the TEFL Academy (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I received my certification in 2014. In doing so, I have had in-class experience working with a 5-year-old Russian girl, and a 12 year old Mexican boy. I have also lived in France for 2 years where I have worked extensively with French children ranging in age from 5-14 in regards to English speaking and writing.
Hello! My name is Simone! Let's speak English! I have taught English since 2012 to both children and adults of all levels. I try my best to make learning fun! I'm an open-minded, friendly person who loves languages. I like to focus on speaking, because it is often the most difficult or frustrating part of language (especially when you want to express yourself!). However, I also have a strange passion for grammar! I try to make grammar rules as clear and simple as possible, and will show you how to use them in everyday conversation. I'm here to work through your difficulties, so don't hesitate to ask me any and all questions!
I have been teaching English as a foreign language in Moscow Russia and as a second language for a few months in the USA. In my classes I help students to build their confidence and strengths in their English learning . My students gone from beginning to intermediate level. I structure my lessons so students can enjoy the lessons and at the same time build strong ESL skills.
I am a master teacher focusing on the classical repertoire along with the very strong approache to improvisation. I am really helping each single student to achieve their interests in music rather than focusing on teaching one particular method. I just take a very similar approach to the Suzuki method but instead of teaching out of the method books I teach mixture of exercises and pieces that I believe are more fun and accessible to today student of any age. Classes are tailored to the needs of any particular student and constantly evolving. I am a true believer that this also enchances an understanding and love of classical music. A huge range of students come as beginners and left as a young artists as well as adult students Who came to learn piano and have found that they can perform professionally. And plus have a great deal of Fu
n! I also guide my students in the curriculum and exams of the Royal Conservatory program. Exams are offered twice a year. Also my students participating in Junior festivals and community recitals. I have also been a judge for Lake Central Junior festival which held in University of central Florida for over 8 years and an assistant for RC exams. Creativity and love of music are the key elements that I encourage in every single student. With my teaching skills and over 20 years of experience I am taking each single student beyond their own expectation while helping them to achieve their own goals.
Bio: I am a professional pianist, teacher and composer. Because of my through knowledge and experience with music I can teach all ages and levels an array of important subjects including piano, music theory, , improvisation, composition, music history. My goal with every single student to incorporate all those subjects into my piano lessons so that every student gains a through understanding of music and become a well- rounded musician.
I started piano lessons when I was 7 years old and quickly felt in love with the instrument. In spite of studying a very structured program I quickly began to explore my creative side and was always improvising on the piano as well as enjoying playing classical pieces. Throughout my youth I entered and placed in a few competitions. I was also involved with the band chorus, dance and drama and attended lots of concerts, plays, operas, ballets. It gave me a well-rounded artistic upbringing.
I Persuaded my passione for music and graduated World renowned Moscow conservatory of music with Master’s degree in piano performance and teaching. My education tought me to understand piano in depth along with music theory and ear training. If you want to sit at the piano and play what you feel or to master every detail of a piece of music so you can express it exactly as composer intended? I can teach you. I completely encourage all ages and backgrounds to explore their musical passion and discover the endless possibilities of Piano!!!

As an experienced ESL instructor, lessons can range depending on your needs. My experience includes teaching academic English courses of beginning and intermediate levels for various skills (listening, reading, writing, vocabulary/literacy, and grammar).
I have also tutored English privately, focusing on one-on-one instruction. In these sessions, I have worked closely with students to isolate and improve weak spots in their pronunciation, taught collocations and expressions (conversational and academic English), and concentrated on listening practice.
My graduate level certification and extensive teaching background has prepared me to teach you, regardless of your goals for improving your English!
I am a performer and teacher, specializing in cello and English as a Second Language. I graduated with a bachelor and master degree in music performance (cello) from Ball State University (Indiana). While a student, I had a multitude of teaching experiences ranging from music theory, music history, ear training, and English as a Second Language.
For the past three years, I have taught beginning/intermediate cello students. My teaching experiences began at a non-profit community music camp, Music for the Sake of Music, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. During this experience, I found a passion for teaching beginning students because of the fundamental need to provide a solid foundation. These early teaching experiences also inspired my teaching philosophy. Students can expect to focus on technique while simultaneously working on challenging and
exciting repertoire. Although there is an emphasis on strong fundamentals, I strive to demonstrate the fun and beneficial qualities of studying music. Music should not be a chore but rather a source of creativity and enjoyment.
I am open to teaching students of all ages and levels, although the majority of my experience is in beginning and intermediate levels. I've studied the cello for 14 years. I have experience in tutoring music theory, sight-ear (ear training), and music history. Also, I have been certified through the National College Learning Center Association, completing training that emphasizes engagement of students. Through this training I've learned how to help students learn independently and overcome challenges through trial and error. In music, these skills foster efficient practice techniques that often lead to a quickly developed technique.
During my studies, I was also a classroom instructor of ESL. I taught academic English to university students with various proficiency levels. In these classes, I taught between 2-15 students. This experince strengthened my classroom management but also taught me how to prepare lesson plans catering to individual students. I have received a graduate level certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and in doing so I have studied materials development, classroom assessment/creating assessments, and methodologies for teaching English as a second language. Lastly, I have tutored individuals in ESL, working closely to improve listening, speaking, and vocabulary.
As a performer, I have played in many regional orchestras throughout Indiana such as the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra, Muncie Symphony Orchestra, and Kokomo Symphony Orchestra. I also have experience performing outside of a classical setting, especially in recording. In previous years I have recorded on pop albums for independent artists and composers. My most notable experience includes recording with Tony Award winning actress and singer, Sutton Foster on her newest album Take Me to the World.
Studying music is not about achieving perfection; it is about creativity and joy and obtaining skills that transfer to numerous fields. I look forward to meeting you and helping you develop a wide variety of skills that will enrich many parts of your life.
