I have been working as a professional film composer since 2011, working on everything from 15-second commercials to feature-length pieces, ranging from rock to solo piano to full orchestral compositions. In our discussions, we will cover instrumentation, composing for video without pre-existing music, working with temp. tracks, co-creating with vision from the director, recording & syncing up your score to the multimedia at hand. The end goal is to sufficiently serve what's on the screen & support that through music, rather than detracting from the overall feel of the piece. This will be a quintessential cornerstone of our lessons. There are many ways to approach film scoring, being a very personally-invested medium, & my duty is to open as many doors & pathways to finding your unique voice as an aspiring film composer.

My first lesson with Zach was great! 5 stars. He asked the right questions as to what aI am looking to do. And we quickly came up with a lesson plan that with the right amount of work in my part will get me headed in the right direction. Zach does a great job of making his students feel comfortable and good about their abilities.

Madeline is a really kind and enthusiastic instructor. She helped me feel comfortable with my voice and validated my singing, granted I'm not the best singer. I think that's a really great start to singing. I was starting to see some growth in my singing because Madeline helped me become more aware of my body and singing, but I had to discontinue lessons because of certain life circumstances. Would totally recommend.

Nicholas has been teaching my daughter vocal lessons for about 11 months and he’s fantastic!

She’s improved so much in 10 months! He’s awesome and delivers results! My daughter enjoys her lessons with him and she’s just 9 years old and has developed so much due to his mentor ship. My daughter also has an aptitude for singing and tends to catch on to his instructions quickly.

Hello, my name is Bernadette and I am recently graduated from a very rigorous 3 year Master of Fine Arts in Acting program. I specialize in Film Acting, however, I have worked as a Producer, Casting Director, Director and Camera Operator so I am familiar with what goes on behind the camera as well.

I have extensive knowledge in resume formatting, head shot formatting, demo reel formatting, how to properly audition for both film and theatre, how to properly self-tape from home, tricks for memorization, monologue preparation, character analyzation, etc.

I personally enjoy deriving my technique with a mixture of improvisation and Uta Hagen's theories on acting. I was also trained in Meisner and if a student requests it we can certainly work on some of his exercises as well.

Everything I have learned has been through my masters program, reading and researching for years, self-educating, attending numerous industry events, conferences, and I am a working actress so whenever I'm ...

I teach/conduct a show choir that meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. Entry into this course is by audition only. Our next audition date is Saturday, February 4, 2017. If interested, please email Kait and she can give you the details and also provide you with the audition material you'll be expected to learn before the audition. This is a performing show choir that already has several shows booked. This is NOT your typical choir! We sing material by artists like: Imagine Dragons, Queen, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Journey, ELO, Adele, Pentatonix, Broadway, Earth Wind & Fire, The Andrews Sisters, Aerosmith, ABBA...to name a few. Students must already possess an ability to sing harmony with other people to participate in this choir. This is for Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced singers. This is a very fun group class that performs regularly.

"I rate Simona very highly, both as a magician and a great teacher. She went out of her way to work with my seven year old son. It was heartening to see her teach and he be totally engrossed into learning the tricks. My son gained a lot of confidence and now goes about showing the tricks to his friends with proficiency. Simona is a quality teacher, disciplined, professional, timely and easy to work with. I would recommend her to anyone looking to learn magic be it a child or an adult."

"Carissa always gives me feedback in a very encouraging way. Once I go over a monologue or a script once, she'll talk about some of the characteristics that I might be able to adopt in order to be more convincing, but she'll also tell me which parts she liked, which parts I was hitting on, but didn't quite get, and anything else. She's super understanding, and she'll talk me through any parts that I was having trouble with extensively until she feels that I understand and am comfortable with the material and the directions. 1000 stars all the way!"
