*** Lesson Details ***
Piano: All students start out learning both Treble and Bass Clefs, and their lines and spaces. Each student then starts to learn their major scales with both right and left hand for piano. They also learn the note values, and are able to put them together in a song. I use Michael Aaron curriculum, which takes in all of the above and their technique lessons. I use all the Michael Aaron Book One, Lessons, Theory, Technic, and Performance Books for any student that is age 6 and above and I would ask that parents would buy them from Anderson Music in Dearborn, Michigan as well as any other lesson books listed below before they come to my home for lessons.
Cello: Using String Builder and Strictly Strings, the students learn the bass clef, lines and spaces, scales, and songs. Students will learn how to hold their bow correctly.I have played cello in the Waterford New Horizons Concert Band for over six years. I have also been the only cellist they have as a member of the band.
Violin: Using String Builder and Strictly Strings, students will learn lines and spaces of the treble clef, note values, major scales, and songs. Students will learn how to hold their bow correctly.
Drums: Using Rockin’ Rhythm Raps, and using drum pads instead of drums, students will learn the correct way to hold drum sticks and the rhythms of all the notes in the treble and bass clefs. They will also learn songs to play.

I have found that the attending student group to be extremely supportive to all other students especially to those experiencing performance anxiety. Repeating attendees (from all over the country) have formed lasting friendships among themselves which have endured for years. Eight week long sessions are given throughout the year. In addition there are summer sessions for school aged youth
and also 4 short week sessions for those wishing to try a sampling of the camp. This past January was my 3rd year attending the camp and I will be returning again next year. My experiences at the camp have been truly unforgettable. More information can be obtained at Sonatina.com

After working with all levels of ESL ( English as a Second Language) students in the Netherlands for 15 years and now back in the USA with Asian college students since 2015, I am confident in my ability to help anyone to speak, hear, read and write English in a professional manner and level optimally. My Dutch students have won regional public speaking awards to participate nationally and with an extensive performing arts background, I am most expert in boosting any student's performance as an English speaker and/or writer in whatever subject my students choose.

I have been trained specifically in English language pedagogy. I received my M.A. Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2016. I have taught learners at all levels from basic (Arabic and Chinese speakers who were still learning the Roman alphabet) to advanced (graduate students who needed help following the conventions of academic English). Whatever your English language need is, I can help.
Courtney attended Truman State University where she graduated with a B.A. in English in 2011. After that, she moved across the country to Washington State University where she received her M.A. in English Literature and began teaching international students. After that, she moved back to the midwest where she worked on her M.A. TESOL at Central Michigan University while teaching English to speakers of other languages full-time. She completed her M.A.

Do any of these statements sound like something you've said?
"I have a hard time understanding English when people speak fast."
"People misunderstand me or ask me to repeat myself a lot."
"I get nervous when I speak English with native speakers."
I specialize in teaching you to make and understand the sounds of English, so you don't have to deal with those thoughts any more.
I love learning languages and have been through the same challenges as you on your language learning journey.
I know how frustrating it is to know what I want to say and be misunderstood or struggle to follow a conversation with native speakers.
I love to travel. I've lived in Mexico and Berlin and love meeting new people, getting to know the quirks of a new home.
I hate studying. I craft my lessons around the idea that "sitting all alone in my room" is such a waste of time when I could be out practicing with native speakers.

I am a native English speaker and able to help with reading, reading comprehension, writing and grammar.
For seven years now, I have either tutored or taught, in classrooms and in the field, all age groups, sharing the joy of science, math - and learning in general! Mos
When I was in my teens, I participated in many science fairs and symposia at the national and international level. Then I went to college and grad school in science. Pretty much, science has been my life! For any of your science needs, with a special focus on astronomy and geology (earth sciences), I'm here to help. I can also assist with physics, biology and chemistry. The sciences are interrelated and I've used them all in the past and in my current work. The same goes for math.
If you're interested in creative lessons - with a true focus on your learning experience, I'm your tutor! Often times when working out in the field in extreme locations (e.g., Antarctica and Mt. Everest), I have to MacGyver solutions on the fly. I want to teach you how to think. This skill will serve you well, long into the future.
