Gfire has been teaching and performing music full-time for over 17 years. Based in Austin, Texas, the "Live Music Capital of the World," she offers voice, piano, songwriting, yoga, folk guitar, and DJ'ing lessons to students from 5-105 and she specializes in sculpting her lessons to the strengths and desires of each individual student. Her students range from beginning to advanced levels, and they sing and play a multitude of musical styles, including classical, pop, rock, r 'n' b, country, folk, singer-songwriter, musical theater, blues and more.
Gfire loves to share her talents with her students. She prides herself on instilling a "sense of mastery" to each of her singing and piano students, no matter on which level they are. The students come away with a real sense of knowing their songs and their instruments inside out an
d with a real sense of confidence in their musicianship. Plus they have a lot of fun as they make musical progress!
Gfire is also an award-winning singer-songwriter and "Yoga for the Voice" innovator. She has released 4 CDs of all-original music and is currently working on her 5th CD, to be released in 2015.
As a teacher, Gfire works with students of all levels and all areas of interest. In October 2007, Gfire became the only vocal teacher in the Western Hemisphere to gain full certification in the Science of Singing, developed by Ernest G. White of London, England. Her unique voice training program, entitled "Yoga for the Voice," combines this knowledge of the Science of Singing with ancient yoga breathing techniques. This technique allows each voice student to develop a "vocal tune-up" for the voice AND to discover what the natural singing range is and how to use the voice as effectively as possible. With the internet SKYPE technology, Gfire teaches voice students all over the world, from Switzerland to the U.K. to New Zealand to New York.
Her vocal students have sung in touring rock bands, on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, in successful auditions, in karaoke clubs, in coffee houses and folk clubs, at weddings and for their own enjoyment amongst family and friends. Whatever level of singing training you wish to acquire, she will show you the way to achieve it!
Gfire was also the main voice instructor and one of 3 main piano teachers at the Austin branch of Mars Music (now defunct) for 3 1/2 years. In addition to her vocal study and innovation, she has studied piano with top classical and jazz pianists, studied songwriting with Pat Pattison of Berklee College in Boston, gotten her full yoga teaching certification in 2004 and DJ'd at clubs and parties worldwide. For eight years straight - 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 - she has won the prestigious ASCAPlus Award for professional songwriting.
As a singer-songwriter, Gfire continues to write, record and perform with some of the best musicians and engineers in the world, including engineer Stuart Sullivan (Willie Nelson, Sublime, Meat Puppets, etc.), Hammond organ player Ian McLagen (Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart), cellist John Hagen (Lyle Lovett), fiddle/mandolin player Warren Hood (The Waybacks), bassist George Reiff (Ray Wylie Hubbard) and banjo picker Danny Barnes (Bad Livers, Dave Matthews).
Gfire's original songs have been played on over 200 radio and television stations worldwide. She has toured in over half of the fifty states, plus the U.K. and Canada.
*** Lesson Details *** NEW - Gfire is now available to teach WORLDWIDE via SKYPE or FaceTime - so you can have a music lesson in the privacy of your own home!!
Voice lessons - I have created a unique and wonderful vocal method, "Yoga for the Voice," which combines ancient yoga breathing exercises with special vocal exercises to give you a "complete vocal tune-up." These techniques are simple, effective and easily-learned by any student of the voice, from about age 5-105. I love to help you learn to apply these wonderful techniques to learning the songs you wish to learn - whether they are pop, r 'n' b, folk, singer-songwriter, rock, country, opera, musical theater, jazz, etc. "Yoga for the Voice" is just as effective for professional speakers, such as teachers, lawyers, clergymen or actors - we just use a range of notes that is smaller than a singer's range, and we focus on using your speaking voice as effectively and efficiently as possible.
In 3-6 months, you will be able to:
1. master the "breath of fire" and "one-minute breath" - the BEST yoga breaths for singers! 2. master the "sinus humming exercises" - identifying where EACH note in your range originates in your own head 3. master the "full-body exercises" - traditional singing exercises on "mah, mee, moh, moo, meh" - so that you can move easily between your chest voice, middle voice, and head voice 4. master 2-10 songs or more, depending on your level and the level of difficulty of each song - being able to sing each song in TUNE, with feeling, and having a blast doing it!! 5. if you wish, you can perform your song(s) at one of my voice and piano recitals - on a REAL Austin stage!!
Piano lessons - I teach a wide range of piano styles at levels from beginner to early advanced, beginning around age 5. Whether you want to learn classical, rock, blues, country, boogie-woogie, or other styles of piano and keyboard playing, I will sculpt your lesson plan so that you have a great foundation in technique AND you learn the styles and songs you wish to play.
In 3-6 months, you will be able to:
1. master the Leschetizky, hand massage, and isometric warm-up exercises - the BEST piano warm-ups! 2. depending on your level, master Hanon exercises 1-12, major and minor scales, major and minor arpeggios 3. for beginners, you will be able to play with BOTH hands on the treble and bass clefs - at the same time!! 4. master the I-IV-V progression in 3-12 keys, depending on your level - so that you can play blues, rock, country, boogie-woogie, and ragtime songs!! 5. master 4-20 songs or more, depending on your level and the level of difficulty of each song (classical songs tend to take more time to master) - being able to play each song with great technique, with feeling, and having a blast doing it!! 6. if you wish, you can perform your song(s) at one of my voice and piano recitals - on a REAL Austin stage!!
Songwriting lessons - I will teach you how to create a great song, in the style you wish to write in. Country songs, pop songs, rock tunes, r'n' b, folk, etc. - all of these genres have "unwritten rules" about how to put together an effective song. We will utilize special songwriting exercises and tools to help you learn to be a wonderful songwriter.
DJ lessons - I teach beat matching, turntable fine-tuning and repertoire selection to help you become the DJ you aspire to be. I own crates and crates of vinyl records and CDs, and I have DJ'd all over the world to enthusiastic crowds, so I can teach you to attain a real joy and skill in the art of turntablism.
Yoga lessons - I am a fully KRI-certified yoga teacher and I can help you develop a valuable yoga routine to help you achieve your health and relaxation goals. We will choose from literally hundreds of exercises and breathing techniques specifically geared to your needs and wants.

I have developed "Yoga for the Voice" - a combination of my 18 years of studying and receiving certification in the "Science of Singing" (as taught by Ernest George White of London, England) and my 10 years experience and certification in yoga, specifically ancient yoga breathing techniques. I will work with voice students as young as 4 and as old as they want to go! Voice lessons span all styles and all levels - pop, rock, r 'n' b, country, folk, singer-songwriter, opera, classical, musical theater, etc. from beginner to advanced. Generally beginning around age 7.
Piano - levels beginner to early advanced, most styles, including classical, rock, pop, folk, country, singer-songwriter, blues and boogie-woogie. Generally beginning around age 5.
Songwriting - all popular styles, including rock, pop, folk, country, blues, singer-songwriter, r 'n' b, etc.
DJ'ing - all basic DJ methods, including beat matching, turntable basics and repertoire selection.
Yoga - yoga breathing AND physical exercises, depending on the needs and wants of the student.
Folk guitar - finger picking and accompaniment skills for folk singers.
In piano, I specialize in teaching students who want to play a wide variety of music - classical, pop, rock, country, blues, etc. I begin with piano students who are 5 years of age and older, as long as they have the requisite attention span.
In songwriting, I specialize in teaching students methods of developing popular songs - pop, r 'n' b, country, rock, folk, etc.
In DJ'ing, I specialize in basic beatmatching and repertoire selection.
And in yoga, I specialize in tailoring the yogic needs of the student - whether she/he wishes to work on stretching, breathing, abdominal strengthening, etc.
I love everything about teaching! I love music; it is my life. I sleep, breathe and dream music. I am a Columbia University Chicago graduate; I graduated with a degree in Music with a concentration in Classical Voice. I have performed in numerous operas and musicals, as well as, sung on Gospel Cruises all around the world. In my eyes, the student is the main focus so whatever issues, concerns or request the student may have I will treat them with priority. I am all about strengthening the natural born talent and making my students the best vocalist they can be. I'm here to serve the students and that is what I will do until they are confident in their gift...music.
*** Lesson Details *** I take music very seriously but at the same time I like my lessons to be fun and a joyous experience. I am very patient and helpful with any strugg
les that may seem too hard to the student. I will start my students off with the basic vocal warm ups and then move on to material that they would like to cover and if so the student doesn't have material to cover, I will present them with material. Being a singer is not easy at all, so I will challenge my students by giving exercises that challenge them to sing for proficient. I will also bring in material that is brand new and ask the students questions about the piece. The student is in the lesson to learn everything about music, so any type of material that I feel will benefit them and help them move closer to their goal, I will definitely present to them. After 3 to 6 months students will be able to sing in the 3 minor keys and the major key. The student will also have knowledge and know how to sing at least 3 different modes. The singer will know how to read basic sheet music and perform it with solfege. The singer will also have 4 songs of my choice or their choice mastered and ready to perform in front of an audience. Lastly, the singer will have knowledge of proper breath control while performing, usage of a microphone, and intonation.
*** Studio Equipment *** Piano/ Keyboard Music Stand Water

Keanon is a GREAT teacher/artist/musician/mentor
I've been working with Keanon for almost a year now. Aside from being an amazing vocalist himself, he does everything he can to help students reach their full potential and find their voice. He makes lessons fun while constantly keeping you challenged. There's always encouragement from him to strive to be better, which can really bring the best out of singers. Whether you're simply singing for hobby, performing for shows/auditions, or ready to record, Keanon has something to offer to any aspiring musician. He has a passion and love for music and understands it's a gift that must be shared with the world.
My name is Milton Carl Jackson II and I teach vocal, guitar, piano, and musical theatre lessons in the Inland Empire area.
I help those young, middle-aged, and not-as-young tap into their own soul through music so that they may help others find theirs as well. I believe that in order to entertain others with your voice or your instrument, one must first be able to entertain oneself - all the while having fun doing it! As a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis with a double major in Music History & Ethnomusicology and African-American & African Studies; a former co-host of the popular hip-hop radio show ATF Radio: All Things Fresh on KDVS 90.3 FM; a former Music Director of The Afterglow of UC Davis; and a recent graduate of American University with a Master's of Education in Business Education
, I have come in contact and learned from a vast amount of different musicians and educators. A classically-trained bass-baritone with roots in R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop, and Jazz, I have aspirations to help each and every student realize their full musical potential.
If you're looking for a teacher who will motivate and inspire you not only to learn your instrument of choice, but also how to perform it (whether on the big stage or in your living room for the family) and record it as well, I'm the perfect teacher for you. Learning to sing, play, and act beautifully doesn't have to be difficult -- we'll work on finding your voice or your style, all while having fun along the way!
I teach in-studio, in-home, and online lessons, so we can be flexible with the lesson type and schedule!
This is a perfect chance for you or your child who can't stop singing around the house or has dreams of shredding on the guitar or twinkling on the ivories to learn the fundamentals of music, start something new that keeps them or you focused, and have fun while doing it!
Feel free to contact me at show contact info for any questions and check out my student reviews and qualifications.
I look forward to meeting you and accompanying you or your child on your musical journey!!

Gabriel has studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and began his career as an Apprentice Actor at the prestigious Shaw Festival

Gabriel had the distinguished honor of originating the role of the elf archer Legolas in the $30 Million Dollar, world premier production of The Lord of The Rings, directed by Tony award winning director Matthew Warchus.
Gabriel is an amazing coach. He takes the time to explain in detail how to discover a character in an easy to understand way. As a beginner he has really helped me learn to break down a script and understand what is going on. He teaches you how to set yourself apart from the crowd in an audition. I highly recommend Gabriel to anyone seeking to better their craft or begin acting!

Gabriel developed a proprietary method of accent reduction that makes it easy to focus on the areas that need change or improvement. The method, combined with Gabriel’s passion for teaching, make the classes dynamic and productive. He quickly identified my problematic areas, and patiently worked with me on changes I needed to make to the way I pronounce certain sounds.
He also provides ample resources and direction for exercises in between the lessons to make the progress faster. I highly recommend Gabriel for accent reduction classes.

Had an amazing first lesson with Gabriel. He really knows his stuff and not only demonstrates but teaches the techniques that he uses. Lots of material and I'm looking forward to the next lesson!

Russell Steedle is an American Platinum-Selling record producer / songwriter / and guitarist based in Los Angeles, CA. With his first #1 Billboard record under his belt and previous clients such as Mac Miller, Sean Kingston, and Red Velvet, Russ has found endorsements and support from major music companies such as Fender and Dean Markley strings, Russell has toured the US opening for National Artists playing for audiences as large as 30,000.
In 2012, Russ signed with Mach 1 Music and learned the ropes of the music industry as a part of a team selling over 19 million records worldwide. Soon after, Russ joined TV/Filmsound powerhouse “Signature Tracks” (signature - tracks.com) through which he has produced over 650 songs for networks such as Disney, MTV, VH1, BET, ABC, NBC, CBS, and many many more
Currently Russ performs with and p
roduces talent from all over the world including Grammy Award winning artists and songwriters The Jackie Boyz, Chart Topping Artist Sean Kingston, Disney's Caitlyn Taylor Love and many more!
Russ is a truly exceptional individual and very knowledgeable in all aspects of music theory, production and the industry. Not only is he an great at what he does, but he can also relate and impart that knowledge onto others - a skill that is surprisingly rare among high-caliber performers. The price per lesson seems higher than average at first glance, but I feel that the speed and amount of knowledge you acquire per dollar is actually lower than that of other instructors. Really.
He is also active in the industry, so the skills he teaches are current.
I take lessons with Russ online through Skype for EDM production in FL Studio. He is always punctual and promptly communicates if anything comes up. His teaching style carefully balances the need to provide guidance, while allowing freedom for individual artistic development. Every week, I start a composition or track analysis project that applies what I've learned in previous lessons, and I will submit it to Russ to discuss things that went well and things to work on in the future. In this way, you are not just being lectured, but you are actually learning to collaborate with an exceptional musician. I've personally experienced how constant application and feedback facilitates rapid learning.
He certainly is a serious musician, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a fun personality. He is engaging and inspirational.
I would, without reservation nor hesitation, highly recommend Russ to anyone who is interested in professional music production.

From magic to music, and from theater to rock and Roll, Casey has done it all. For over 20 years, Casey has traveled the country performing for audiences from 1 to 20,000. He has a life-long history of experience with stage productions, live sound, and stage lighting. He has been an award-winning magician since he was the age of 7, and he has taught for over ten years.
Casey has an extensive magic "workshop" from which he teaches. He always keeps up-to-date with the new magic tricks, lectures, and trends. Casey can “perform” many of the current magic tricks on the market or on TV to help the st
udent decide the area in which he or she wants to focus.
Many elements make a good magician and a memorable magic show. Casey can help find the best ways to achieve the student’s goals in magic, all the way up to full-scale magic shows suitable for thousands.
For beginners, Casey can teach the fundamentals of magic, mentalism, sleight of hand, and any other form of magic, illusions, or trickery.
For intermediate students, Casey can do all of the above, as well as help shape and mold the student into the performer of his or her desires. Casey can teach advanced magic tricks, theater and live show "how to's," and much more.
Advanced students will appreciate the technical portion of Casey's background. He can teach all aspects of live sound and lighting, and work alongside an already seasoned performer to tweak specific “moves” or scripts.
Each student will progress at his or her own pace.
"David gave excellent instruction, advice and tips. I loved the one on one coaching and attention to detail. Can't wait for the next class!"
"I am glad I found Gabriel. I feel like every session I learn something new and I am learning techniques that will be helpful in everything I do. Gabriel
is a patient and kind teacher and makes sure I am learning before moving on to the next lesson."
"Julia is amazing! She is so knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and a wonderful person to work with. I've learned so much about acting and how to really delv
e into a character and dissect the text. I would recommend her to everyone!"
"I never write reviews but for Jordan I must! I’m so inspired by her talent, her presence and her graciousness. Each class I learn something new and I get
to sweat my insides out and most importantly, I leave Jordan’s class with a huge smile on my face that usually lasts me until next class! Get jordy-fied!"
"It came to me again - that feeling that I could do anything. I know that's an exaggeration, but feelings of personal accomplishment lend a lot to taking f
uture risks. Our dance team was under Tom's tutelage for four hours broken into two sessions and I was changed. He had persistence yet patience. He somehow gave everything enough attention, but kept us moving forward to use our time together the most wisely. He adapted to our unique and unusual dynamic and group personality, adopting our language while he taught us his.
My private lesson with him was special too. I remember feeling a bit vulnerable and self conscious in the first few minutes, wondering how we would connect on how to help me. I was put at ease as he listened to my thoughts, partnered with me in a quick exploratory dance, took the reins, and led me through an educational sixty minutes. I liked the way he made the specifics he was conveying accessible through brief relatable personal examples. I've had many people speak to me about frame, but the way he approached it and me was the way that has me doing better (I think!) I found Tom to be incredibly professional, personable, respectful and helpful. I would certainly benefit from more time in his care."

"Amy is very professional and knowledgable as well as focused. Her manner of working is positive and informative. I am enjoying working with her."
"I have had the pleasure of experiencing Andrew's work with special needs individuals and can attest that he has patience and the skills necessary to teach
anybody the wealth of knowledge that he has. He is a very generous, patient, and wholesome individual who appears to live for music. He has a very good voice and great skill with the piano.
I have also experienced one of Andrews recital's. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was one of the impressive performances that I have seen in a long time. They had so much attention to detail that everyone even received a golden ticket! I wish my music lessons were was exciting and fun as Andrews."
"Participated in an improv class with Christine a few years ago. Not only was it great fun but made me feel as though I actually had a tiny bit of a goft f
or it which has proved useful to me when I give talks in the area. As a journalist and author I do a lot of talks and that improv class has proved very valuable and it was educational too."
"Heather was great! She is very encouraging and clearly knowledgeable about assessing a student's needs and skill level to help them improve. It was a plea
