Performing Arts Reviews
Carlton taught me to work harder, think further and make stronger bolder choices and commit to the choices I’ve made in my acting.
He taught me how to dissect a script to have a further deeper understanding of the story, the subtext, the character and their relationships. He taught me how to build a character and the exercises that will help me in the process such as movement work, animal exercise, writing a character bio and so on. He has a deep understanding of vivid behavior and details that will make a scene or a character come to life.
He is a well all-around trained acting teacher and a super hardworking person in general which has a positive influence on your own work ethics and your personal goals.
What makes him unique as an acting teacher is that he is still active in the business himself. So not only is he a good acting teacher but he is also up to date with the industry."
Ben directed the musical Into the Woods, and I played the Narrator/Mysterious Man. At first I was a bit unexcited about the part, but Ben's direction shaped it into my favorite role I've played yet. I believe it was in this show I began to immerse myself in the parts I played on stage, and I mostly credit that to him. I saw some of the best performances out of my cast mates as well.
All in all, Ben knows what he's doing and I'd recommend him to anyone excited about acting. You'll be surprised on how much you'll improve. He's the best!"

Watching people dance can be both inspiring and intimidating. Their graceful movements and the fluid transitions between steps can make you want to dance while making you feel extremely self-conscious. Something you should know is that there are very, very few people who look this good when they first learn how to dance! Taking dance classes and private lessons are the perfect way to learn dance basics without the public exposure. Regardless of the type of dance you are interested in, the …More
