I am retired and wanted to start playing piano again after many years. Marty tailors my lessons to my skill level and to the kind of music I want to play. She is very personable, extremely well organized, and is a very effective teacher.

Marty is helping me figure out what I want to get out of voice lessons. I have loved signing my whole life, I am 50 now, still love it but never had any formal training, she is helping me find my real voice and express it the way that I want to. I LOVE HER!

When a student attends an Alexander Technique lesson the teacher will work with the student in a variety of movements such as, sitting, standing, and bending. As well as, working in movements the student does in their every day lives. While doing these movements the teacher may ask the student to stop and observe how they feel physically or what they maybe thinking about during the movement. This is done in order to help the student assess their coordination and try to improve the efficacy of their movements and thought processes.

I would then conclude the lesson by answering any questions the student may have about the Alexander Technique. I may also give them encouragement to think about the principles we had discussed in the lesson and observe from when they walk out of the lesson to when they come back for their next lesson how they may incorporate the Alexander Technique principles in to their daily life. In certain circumstances I may also provide the student with a reading

My daughter has been taking violin lessons from Nicole for almost 2 years. I appreciate Nicole's patience, the variety of techniques she uses to ensure proper posture, bow grip, etc; and the fact that the lessons are tailored to each individual student and their musical interests and habits. We will miss her when she moves out of the Denver area!

Nicole has extensive knowledge of the violin. She teaches the "why before the how" so that the student is able to start with the right technique. She is good at connecting with children.

I'm an inexperienced singer and Jameson is great with me. I am learning things at every lesson that I can apply on my own to help me reach my goal of being a competent member of a choir. It's never too late to do something you've always wanted to try!

Jameson has improved my voice 100 fold! I am a professional singer from a different genre. Learning opera with Jameson has improved the quality of my voice immensely. Even when I am not singing opera, my voice has more power and resonance in all areas of singing because of the work he has done with me. I am so pleased and so impressed with his skill. If you're thinking about lessons with Jameson, DO IT!

Are you an injured pianist and feel like all hope is lost? It is not, you have the power to get in control of your pain and I am here to guide you through that journey. I am a classically trained pianist who has successfully survived a piano-related injury taking Alexander technique classes. Now I am back to playing; and not only am I playing comfortably, but I am playing better than I ever have before. Your pain is actually a blessing in disguise, and learning Alexander technique will show you that. In my lessons, I will assess the reasons for your pain by interviewing you and watching you play piano. Sometimes we are holding tension at the piano that we are unaware of, and it takes an outside person to point it out. Not only will I observe your movements at the piano, but I will observe your movements in every day life to see where else the tension is being held. It takes time to heal, but with the right guidance and determination, you will heal; and being someone who has been ...

I provide one on one instruction of the Alexander Technique. Students will learn about individual tension patterns, posture and how to can more easily move about. In a lesson activities are broken down into simple steps eliminating reactive responses. You will have an opportunity to learn about how to integrate mind and body eliminating habits that lead to physical injury, repetitive stress injuries, back and neck pain and other health issues. Balance, poise and confidence become natural.
