The Alexander Technique is taught in colleges throughout the world. This time-tested method for improving posture and musical freedom is worth the time to study. Increase your ease with your instrument and increase the longevity at the piano (or with whatever instrument you play). Vocalists, as well, gain immeasurably by learning the Alexander Technique.

Miss Marty has very kind and sympathetic personality. But her piano skill is not so good, she doesnt know any technic information about piano playing and interpretation. Of course she is not a pianist, but singer. For piano education, children needs a real piano teacher. Maybe thats why, she is checking her facebook account during the lesson, or eating something, or doing something else... because she doesnt have so much to say about piano playing. Most of the lessons she came late to her home and we were waiting front of her house, but sometimes she did not do the lesson in exact minute. And after 3 months my son is still in same grade, where he begun. I know he is talented, because i’m a musician too. If you want a professional piano lesson, then i suggest to find a real pianist, not a singer, who can not play and teach piano.

Marty has a wonderful energy about her and her teaching style was very helpful to me. We worked on my range, tone, and various techniques to open up and improve the voice which definitely helped! I saw improvements in less than 5 weeks (1 lesson per week) and her personalized booklet helped keep me on track! She's fantastic.

When a student attends an Alexander Technique lesson the teacher will work with the student in a variety of movements such as, sitting, standing, and bending. As well as, working in movements the student does in their every day lives. While doing these movements the teacher may ask the student to stop and observe how they feel physically or what they maybe thinking about during the movement. This is done in order to help the student assess their coordination and try to improve the efficacy of their movements and thought processes.

I would then conclude the lesson by answering any questions the student may have about the Alexander Technique. I may also give them encouragement to think about the principles we had discussed in the lesson and observe from when they walk out of the lesson to when they come back for their next lesson how they may incorporate the Alexander Technique principles in to their daily life. In certain circumstances I may also provide the student with a reading

Nicole is a very educated and skilled musician that offers a lot of insight to new and intermediate violin players. Her lessons focus on technique in various areas such as bowing strategies, shifting, and scales in various keys, and Nicole is always prepared to teach her students these skills and help them along the way.
We highly recommend her!

My daughter has been taking violin lessons from Nicole for almost 2 years. I appreciate Nicole's patience, the variety of techniques she uses to ensure proper posture, bow grip, etc; and the fact that the lessons are tailored to each individual student and their musical interests and habits. We will miss her when she moves out of the Denver area!

The Alexander Technique is a 100-year-old method for helping you learn how to use your body properly. I use gentle hands-on guidance and verbal instruction to help you prevent movement patterns that wear you down by the end of the day or cause pain. There are no exercises, machines or special clothing. Instead, you apply the principles to your normal activities. It takes from 5-30 lessons to learn the Alexander Technique and all lessons are either private or shared and are taken once or twice per week.

I've been Leland's Alexander student for over 10 years. Soon after starting with him, my back ache complaints cleared up. I find I naturally use his Alexander wisdom in my own Tai Chi classes (I'm a Tai Chi teacher) and in my daily life. Sessions with him are enjoyable & enlightening. I've also signed up for his periodic email Alexander tips. I highly recommend him.

I first saw Leland when I was struggling with a debilitating spinal condition of thoracic kyphosis; I had an upper back curvature of eighty degrees, for which my doctor recommended reconstructive back surgery. Over my next eighteen months working with Leland and doing physical therapy, my back curvature reduced to sixty degrees, within a healthy range, to the total bewilderment of my doctor. He told me, "I have no idea what you’re doing, but keep doing it." With my Alexander practice, I discovered an enhanced clarity of my how my body works and improved manner of use of my body that was critical to my return to health.

Moreover than the health benefits, I have found that Alexander practice has brought me a greater sense of well-being and quality of life. I find pleasure on my daily walks and I find my exercises more invigorating. Most of my work is behind a computer and my Alexander Technique lessons have helped me to work with greater ease. I leave the studio each week cheerful and with a sense of lightness that is one of the highlights of my life.

I’ve taken Alexander technique lessons off and on for over 20 years — with around 7-8 different teachers. Working with Leland has had the most impact of any of these. He definitely takes it to the next level.
