I fully understand the approach and needs for ESL as my children themselves benefited from this program when we first arrived in the US, from France.

About Isabelle

I am a native French speaker born in France; I have lived in the USA since 2000 and speak English fluently. I teach both French and English as a Second Language (ESL). I am used to teaching/ coaching/ interacting with students of all ages (12-80+) and with professionals in a corporate environment. In fact I have worked in-countries and remotely with people located in France, Poland, India, Canada, Guatemala and Brazil. I speak some Spanish and German, and that might help you as well, depending on your background. I am happy to add a cultural dimension to the language support. For Life Coaching lessons, I draw from my experience and best practices. I will share simple yet highly effective tips and approaches to help you meet your needs.

For best results; I recommend a minimum of 2 (two) 45-minute sessions per week for the first 20 les

sons to gain some momentum and build strong foundations. I look for students sincerely interested in making great strides and committed.

Happy to start any time soon. THX for visiting my profile. Questions welcome!

In preparation for a trip to France, and not knowing any French at all, I started taking French lessons from Isabelle several months ago. She has helped me a lot with pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. She is an excellent teacher.

Isabelle is an absolutely marvelous teacher - anyone and everyone would benefit from taking classes with her.
I speak French well and my goal is to improve my conversational skills so that I can keep up with my monthly French book group. I am the only American in a group of French women and French is spoken the whole time.
Isabelle has been spectacular in helping me sharpen and improve my conversational skills. Our class is one long conversation - very carefully orchestrated by Isabelle so that each class is both productive and delightful.
I love to discuss the French culture and culture in general and Isabelle invariably makes that part of the conversation. But i think that Isabelle could talk with great knowledge and interest about many topics.
Each session flies by and each session makes my conversational skills sharper.
I feel very lucky that Isabelle is my teacher.

Want to master American English for business, for school or for life? Well, I've got the secret code. Here's the deal. For over 15 years, I've been turning English learners from all over the world to confident English speakers. Professionals, students, and entrepreneurs. I use a fun and effective contextual approach. This means you acquire the language naturally, as we discuss a topic relevant to your interests and needs. I'll also help you to understand American culture and to master the natural speaking patterns used by North Americans. So if that sounds cool, check me out here on TakeLessons.

About Paul

I’m a TESOL Certified English Communication Coach and educational Content Creator. I come from an Argentine family, and grew up in Miami Beach, so I'm fully bilingual. I have a degree in audiovisual media and communication, and earlier in my career, I worked as a television writer and producer. In my free time, I enjoy running, music and journeying into fascinating worlds via stories.

But stories are much more than something I enjoy in my free time. I believe stories are the most powerful form of communication. So powerful they can transform any message, vision or experience into something meaningful and memorable. TED Talks are a perfect example of this. Imagine if most business communication had this power, this energy.

That is why I created an approach to English Mastery called Storylingo. It’s a story-based approach to English commu

nication that has allowed me to help hundreds of professionals and job candidates from all over the world achieve their business communication goals in English.

The result is speakers of English as a foreign language that can communicate their ideas in a way that is clear and engaging. Storylingo is available as a workshop, as personalized coaching and soon, as an online course. I’ve used this system of training at leading organizations including Santander Group, Siemens, and Alibaba.

About Alia

Hello! My name is Alia and I'm an English teacher from San Diego, CA. I have been teaching English and writing for over than 10 years.

I offer English/ESL and writing lessons.I teach all levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.
I’ve been teaching ESL (English as a second language) for 10 years now. I have a Bachelor degree in English Language & Translation, and TEFL (TEFL = Teaching English as a foreign language ). I am a n IELTS Band : 7 certified teacher.

I have taught many different subjects, including speaking, pronunciation, grammar, business English, academic writing, and more. I've also taught beginners through very advanced English learners, as well as a range of ages, from kids to adults (although mostly teenagers and adults).

I enjoy teaching everything, but especially grammar, so if you need help with grammar, I am her

e for you! 🤓

I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively and live abroad. From 2008 to 2018 I taught English at a university in Saudi Arabia, which was a wonderful experience. I've also traveled to Amman, Jordan and taught their for almost two years. Having lived in other countries, I understand the struggles associated with communicating in a foreign language.

As a teacher, I am friendly, patient, flexible and kind (and funny, I hope!), but I also care very much about my students' learning and I create lessons that are challenging but interesting, fun, and connected to the students' real lives and/or their specific goals. I also encourage students to talk as much as possible!

In addition to teaching, I’ve also taught writing for many years at the university & college levels. Strengthening your writing skills is empowering; it gives you the tools to be able to express yourself better. I love being able to help people do that.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you!

5 Tasks of The Daily Five
1. Read to Self
2. Read to Someone
3. Work on Writing
4. Listen to Reading
5. Word Work

I like to incorporate discussion questions with this process so that the student has opportunities to talk. We can learn about different topics that you are interested in.

About Michael

I'm a High School ESL Teacher in the country of China. I'm an introverted individual but when I teach I am much more social and talkative. I recently took a personality inventory called Clifton Strengths and I will share with you what my strengths were on this test.

Responsibility- The way I approach responsibility is by the belief that it is my responsibility to help a student learn English. Techniques I use to enable this are reviewing what we went over from previous lessons to make sure a student is learning the material well.

Developer-The way I approach this is by setting a goal and getting my student to accomplish that goal by using different techniques I have learned through out my teaching career. AS technique I have used in the past is something called Test Teach Test.

Listening is one of my better skills. I think

it is important to listen to people and it requires effort to do. By listening to the feelings of others, I become clearer and less conflicted. My empathy leads me to listen to the message of the person but also having care for the person who is talking also. Everybody deserves to be listened to.

I like to I share ideas and pose questions. Learning new things is very important to me and posing questions to people and sharing ideas is a fun environment to be in for me and it is in this environment when I learn things well.

I like roles where I can research and analyze information. I have a way of thinking that enables me to analyze information well. I like to analyze subjects related to the social sciences but I’m also good at analyzing educational practices and strategies to see if students are learning or if they are not learning.

The teaching strategy or process I like to use is called differentiated instruction and I do this by using a process called the Daily 5. The Daily 5 is a series of tasks that students must complete on a daily basis. They must read to themselves, read to someone else, listen to reading, work on writing, and do word work. This process makes the process of learning repetitive and easier which I think is important when learning a second language.
