Music Director of the Chicago Philharmonia Orchestra since 1985, Farobag has also served as Managing Director of the University of Chicago Performing Artists Series from 1989 through 2002 and principal conductor of its resident professional ensembles. A skilled interpreter of Baroque literature as well, Farobag continues in his capacity as Artistic Advisor to the Baroque Masterplayers, a virtuoso ensemble that concatenates period performance techniques with modern instruments thus creating a unique voice within the realm of 17th and 18th- century repertoire.
A double graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester, Farobag studied under Anastasia Jempelis, a pioneer of Suzuki violin pedagogy in the United States. In addition to the Suzuki curriculum, he is also associated with the Royal Conservatory Music Devel
opment Program that sets a national standard of musical achievement in various fields.
Befitting his penchant for encouraging artistic interest amongst younger members of his community, Farobag is also the principal conductor of the Zoroastrian Symphony Orchestra that offers a unique mixture of young and seasoned professionals sitting side-by-side in a strictly professional setting. Since the year 2000, the ZSO has staged highly successful performances at various venues in Houston, Chicago, and Toronto. A New Year's eve performance in Los Angeles is scheduled for 2014.
Having also taken graduate-level coursework in educational psychology, mathematics, and philosophy at the University of Chicago, Farobag offers tutelage in various areas of elementary and secondary education as well as in SAT, ACT and GRE test preparation.
Additionally, as a certified Reiki Master, therapeutic and/or educational sessions are also extended to those who may be inclined to alternative healing techniques.
*** Lesson Details *** Sheer technique is necessary but insufficient to play an instrument well. Aural skills, that include the study of functional tonality and voice-leading are important factors that impart musicality. This is of great import if the prospective musician wants the audience to truly enjoy his or her performance !
Whether it be the 3 Rs or preparation in the performing arts, a remarkable instructor must go well beyond the subject matter at hand and help imbue the student with a spirit of wonder that, in due time, will foster enthusiasm necessary for excellence.
A child emulates and learns to communicate in his or her mother-tongue through a supporting and nurturing environment. Likewise, a student needs to be sufficiently motivated to embrace learning in a familiar supportive manner.
*** Studio Equipment *** The In-Studio lesson take place in the living room. Driveway parking. No pets.
*** Travel Equipment *** None; I do expect a reasonably good piano / keyboard at a student's home.
*** Specialties *** Traditional and Suzuki-based education. Performance and musicality training is open to all instrumentalists.
*** CD's*** Classical Energy, Triton Sound, TS 8501 Salut D'Amour, Triton Sound, TS 9014 Epiphanies1, The Halford Company
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect the student to buy the books that I need them to buy and to have either a keyboard or piano. I also expect that the Spanish students will obtain the proper materials that I ask of them.
I read best reviews. Can phone number of the Teacher be placed here so that I could enroll.

Ms. Janai was the best tutor I have ever had. No matter the day, or time she was always there to help me out. Either it was math, science, writing, etc. she'd help me with every subject no matter how long it took for me to get it right, every subject was like her first nature. She was amazing teaching in person and just as good online. I've never met another tutor like Janai, she understands what you're going wrong and what your difficulties are, but she always manages to turn those difficulties around and make you better at understanding what you need to do better in order to succeed. If you're looking for an outstanding tutor Janai is the way to go!

Janai is great with older adults. She's so patient and makes me feel relaxed even when I'm saying the wrong words. She has passion! and that's exciting to see.
My name is Norman A. I've studied and loved music since I was 5 years old. At the age of 13 I began learning the piano/keyboard. I am Christian and leader as a mentor For Youth at Ministerial International El Rey Jesus (King Jesus Ministry). My goal is to help others expand and further their skills and knowledge in music and to help them tap into a part of themselves they never knew they had through music.

Tara was wonderful when working with my boys. She was always on time, never cancelled and was always smiling. She was gentle and guided them through each project. I would highly recommend Tara to anyone who wanted a personal, quality lesson in art.
I graduated in 2016 from Yeshiva University with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and decided to take the GRE before starting work full time as an investment banker at Credit Suisse in New York CIty. I took the test and scored better than I could've expected, and since then I've been hooked on trying to help other students feel that same feeling that I felt after taking the test.
I've spent my free time in the last 2.5 years working one-on-on with students to improve their comprehension and test scores, first focusing on the GRE and then expanding to include AP Calculus and Statistics. I focus on helping students to prepare and hone the specific skills that the question makers are targeting with their questions. Every standardized test is geared to test a certain set of skills that can be trained to any student with the right preparatio
n - my goal is to make sure that every one of my students feel that they have been prepped properly.
After some time I decided to take the GMAT in order to be able to attend business school in the future. After spending a few months studying and taking the test, I wanted to apply my knowledge regarding the test, and how to study for it, to help students achieve their business school dreams.
Nowadays, I spend most of my time working in a healthcare and real estate development and investment firm in Chicago, but still devote my free time to helping students plan and prepare for success in the GRE and GMAT.
Hello, Students! My name is Rita, and I am excited about being your online Spanish or writing teacher! I have been teaching for 25 years and tutoring in various subjects for many of those years, including in-person private teaching and tutoring as well as online domestic and international teaching and mentoring. For the traditional classroom, I have served in private, charter, and public schools. For most of my career, I have taught levels 1 and 2 of Spanish. Teaching Spanish and learning other languages is my passion, and I am looking forward to sharing that passion with you.
My Spanish lessons are engaging, innovative, and thoughtful - of you! I implement highly effective lessons that engage students and foster their ability to master concepts of the target language. Throughout my career, my greatest assets have been my high work eth
ic, my personality, through which I draw students’ interest, building relationships and rapport with those learners, and dedication to my craft, which has been the prelude to my professional growth.
Now, let's talk about writing! I am currently a middle school writing teacher. My background in writing began at a young age as writing abilities have always seemed natural to me. From creative writing and a love of grammar to proofreading materials without trying, writing has been my niche.
In my lessons, I guide students with step-by-step instructions, explanations, and guided practice. My writing students find my lessons helpful because I break down the details into small, understandable sections. I'm looking forward to helping you meet your essay writing needs. Look no further for a writing teacher who will get you on track.
Reach out to me, and we can plan our first session!
