After spending about 25 years in the financial business, I've been teaching and tutoring math for 10 years and my students have found that I'm very patient, good at explaining math concepts, and successful in increasing their confidence when dealing with math problems. Rather than just have students memorize rules or procedures, I help students derive ways to remember and understand concepts. I also help students improve their study habits and test-taking strategies.

About Jim

I changed careers from being in the investment industry to teaching and tutoring math because I believe that for many people achieving happiness and success in today's world requires strong math skills. I have always had fun with math and I am saddened when I hear people say, "I'm not good at math"

I provide classical instruction in portraiture, still life and landscape in your studio or mine. In this traditional approach to drawing and painting, what will be taught and focused upon are perspective, value and composition in order for the student to develop strong visual language skills. The program of study begins with a specific focus on drawing, since drawing is the foundation upon which all great traditional art is built. Throughout this training, emphasis will be placed on accuracy, or more specifically, seeing and rendering correctly such things as line quality, hard and soft edges, proportion, positive and negative space through abstract form and the use of the full range of values.

About Jeff

I'm a graduate of Dean College in Franklin, MA and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston where I majored in art history and studio art with a focus on portrait painting and illustration. I continued further study at the Andeeva Portrait Academy in Sante Fe New Mexico, the Los Angeles Acad

Greetings! I am an English professor with a background and daily life steeped in creative writing. Whether you are a student, hobbyist, aspiring or current author, I can help.

I will teach you how to incorporate writing into your daily discipline, how to overcome writer's block effectively and reliably, what the "rules" are and how to break them. I will solidify what it actually means to be a "good writer."

If you want to learn more about how to polish your manuscript in preparation for publication, I am experienced and will teach you what you need to know.

If you are a Mac user who is interested in learning more about the process of turning your manuscript into an e-book, I can introduce you to a formatting program and teach you to use it.

Examples of those who would benefit from my classes:
-Students currently studying creative writing
-Hobbyist writers, i.e. those who write for the fun of it (personal projects, fan fiction, etc.)
-Aspring authors, i.e. those who

About Alyssa

Professor Moore is an incredible teacher. I had her in an English class while I was attending college, and she brought such life and inspiration to the classroom. She introduced unique and engaging writing workshops in class, and explained things in depth. As someone who normally doesn’t like sitting in on an English class, Professor Moore helped me really love learning.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure to work with her outside the classroom when it comes to writing. She has helped me work on poems and gave great constructive criticism on stories I have been working on. Professor Moore really works with your learning styles, and is a great person to learn from.
I highly recommend her and all she can offer!

Alyssa is a fantastic teacher, she has mentored me for many years now and hopefully will for many years to come. I am lucky enough to have gotten feedback from her on many projects and they always are better for it! She has helped me better my craft and I'm happy to say that with her guidance I have been able to finish many short stories and am a few chapters into my first book. I highly, highly recommend learning from her if you would like to not only better your skills but also come away from your lessons inspired and ready to start writing!

With more than 7 years of teaching Psychology and metaphysics I am here to assist those who are beginners/intermediates in the field seeking practical and effective lessons on Psychology. Additionally, she honed my persuasive speech skills, helping me project my voice, talk in the correct tone of voice, maintain eye contact with my audience, and flow when I speak. I have learned so much with Ms. Arlys and made leaps of improvement in my writing and verbal presentation. She always spends time to take notes for me and during our class so I can review them and understand the key points of each lesson Ms. Arlys has with me."

"I did 2 sessions with Matt while I was home in preparation for my GMAT, which is in 3 weeks. We focused on the quantitative section, which was the weak spot on my first test. Matt’s familiarity with the GMAT (both the Verbal and Math section) was evident in the first few minutes of sitting down with him. Probably even more important, given my time constraint, was Matt’s ability to quickly identify my specific problem areas (integer / geometric properties & time management on data sufficiency problems) and come up with a game plan to improve them. Matt’s teaching style helped solidify key concepts by having me walk him through my thinking on problems and correcting me only when I veered off path. This approach worked for me. After the second session, I took a practice test and my math score improved substantially. I would recommend Matt to anyone who’s serious about boosting their GMAT score."

"With a few painless lessons, Chris was able to raise my son's ACT scores significantly. Most impressively, he taught him a few easy strategies for the reading section, which had been his weakest area, which resulted in a 34 on that section. We were very pleased - it was time and money well spent."

"My daughter needed help with her writing portfolio for an audition. I knew that the competition was going to be fierce and while I believe that my daughter has real talent I also knew that she needed help organizing here ideas. Needless to say, she was selected to participate in the writing program. We both know that Jonita’s guidance and collaboration helped her achieve that goal. Jonita’s teaching style is exceptional and refreshing. My daughter hopes to work with her again as she transitions to the next stage of her journey as a young writer."
