hings to expect in English tutoring:
- I will not provide any materials
- A majority of study/work will take place outside of class time
- If you do not practice, outside of our session you will not see the best improvements
- you must bring all your books to each class as well as any assignments for correction.
- Lessons are light and fun if the work is done in a timely fashion
- You will be given an appropriate level of work for your proficiency

Policy:
- If you wish to make a cancellation, please allow for a 24+hour window of anticipation; if the cancellation comes with less than
24-hours of anticipation the student will forfeit the right to any rescheduling of that lesson,
and will be charged the full price of the lesson

Exception:
- One exception to this rule is in the case of emergency. (Tragedy, injury, etc.)

Most language classes are not effective because teachers do not use the most effective learning strategies, and they do not engage student's interest. With me as your teacher, we will be discussing your interests, and topics that are relevant to you. We will also spend a lot of time listening to and talking about your favorite songs, books, and movies.

I'm bilingual, patient, and work for a personalized study plan just for you, whether your goal is exploring your new interest in the language, maintaining your current level, or advancing over a long or short period of time. I know how to engage, encourage, and motivate my students. I push my students just the right amount by exploiting their strengths and supporting any weaknesses.

Includes study in spoken and written English as well as various types of English literature.

I teach all forms of literacy including listening, speaking, writing, and reading English. I teach grammar, phonics, word recognition and comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and effective, expressive, and creative writing skills. I have been an avid reader and writer ever since my elementary school days. At college, I received a perfect score on my departmental English exam. I have three education degrees: A double bachelor's in elementary education and music, and a Master's Degree in Reading and Curriculum. I am presently a Mesa Laubach Literacy Council Board Member and Tutor. I love to help students become more proficient in the English language.

I received six hours of college credit in English from Trinity University based upon my entrance exam scores. As a substitute teacher I have taught English and Language Arts at all levels from kindergarten through high school. I have tutored students in English and Language Arts at all levels. My daughter was diagnosed with expressive language disorder. I tutored her extensively in English throughout elementary school, middle school, high and college. She graduated from Texas Lutheran University with degrees in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration in 2010.
